Defiance/Unstoppable Build?

I'm wondering if anyone is using a Defiance/Unstoppable build?

I want to change my current tank to have both so he can go brawler if need be.

Dual passive builds can work just fine- mostly comes down to swapping to the other role/passive enough to justify the extra power slot taken over something else.

I just leave my passive at the top of the list so I can easily swap it out if I feel the need. But really, any melee character with decent Con could have both. I'm guessing you already have an Enrage build, but if not, that's what I'd suggest so you can stat dump into str and con, ignoring the 3rd stat.

The only thing that might be tricky is the Challenge! ability. For a DPS toon, it's not the greatest idea to have it on your main attack. That depends on what you'd potentially be tanking though. If you have plenty of aggro generation from raw damage, support from gear, and an off-power with Challenge, you might be able to still keep aggro. I did OK with just Challenge on Particle Wave, OnSlaught tank gloves, and being in the tank role for Clarence fights. I kept aggro from everyone except the person doing around 1.5x-2x my damage on the scoreboard that I would occasionally lose to. And actual, well geared tanks not just me half-assing one.

I use both passive on my dps/tank HW build. Admittedly, I spend most of the time as a dps than a tank. However, to get the most of having dual passives, I recommend having two sets of gears too.

DPS = Justice Set (w/ DUC)
Tank = Distinguished Set (w/ Confront)

Here's a preview of my build: (Not a leveling build)

    Chaos - Freeform

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Strength (Primary)
    Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
    Level 15: Recovery (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Behemoth (Con: 10, End: 8, Str: 10, Rec: 10)
    Level 6: Mighty (Str: 8)
    Level 9: Enduring (Con: 8)
    Level 12: Tireless (Rec: 8)
Level 15: Physical Conditioning (Str: 5, Con: 5)
    Level 18: Relentless (Str: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 21: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Wield Earth
Level 1: Unleashed Rage (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 6: Enrage (Endorphin Rush, Giant Growth)
    Level 8: Unstoppable (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 11: Defiance
    Level 14: Masterful Dodge
    Level 17: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 20: Ego Surge (Nimble Mind)
Level 23: Arc of Ruin (No Quarter, Wildfire, Challenge!)
Level 26: Annihilate (Rank 2, Scorching Blade, Challenge!)
Level 29: Earth Splitter (Bend the Earth)
Level 32: Energy Shield (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 35: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 38: Backhand Chop
    Adv. Points: 36/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6: Athletics (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Strength: Physical Peak (3/3)
    Strength: Aggression (2/2)
    Strength: Brutality (2/2)
    Strength: Juggernaut (3/3)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Elusive (2/2)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Modified Gear (2/2)
    Mastery: Strength Mastery (1/1)

It's a pretty standard Wardicator HW build. You can switch Vindicator with Brawler if you want more dmg, but it will cost you some defense.

Nice...now if I could ever get a justice set lol :)

Would you run all CON in your slots or a mix of CON and STR?

For Justice(DPS), I'll go 5 Con mods and 1 Str mod(usually for secondaries). For Distinguished(Tank), All Con mods because you know, def and hp. I also recommend getting OV Gloves of Slicer and Defender for each roles respectively. But only if you're determined to get them.

Thanks! I'm such a noob to this game now. I haven't played in years and things have changed a lot.

Note that this build suggests that you aren't ever serious about dps. What I'd do, which is a lot less gear intensive, is only swap out Offense (probably Distinguished as it's less of a hassle than running Rampages), and then have something like:
Primary Offense (DPS): gamblers, DUC, 2x Str
Primary Offense (Tank): confront x2, 2x Con
Secondary Offense (DPS): Onslaught Slicer with Str
Secondary Offense (Tank): Onslaught Defender with Con
Primary Defense: 2x Con, Growth or Impact by preference.
    Secondary Defense: Onslaught with Con
Primary Utility: 2x Str, 1x type-specific damage mod (if available), 1x Cost or Cooldown based on needs.
    Secondary Utility: Onslaught with Con

With r7 mods in primary gear and a base of about 105 Str, 65 Con (from superstats and specs), and then 15 to superstats from Distinguished, this means your Tank build has ~244 Str, ~493 Con, while your DPS build has ~423 Str, ~314 Con. That's still way more Con than you really need on a dps, I have plenty of DPS with <100 Con, but it's about as big a switch as is practical without a lot more work on gear.

If you're serious about dps, get way less Con. I suggest a simpler version: only replace Offense gear.
Tank Version: 4 Con, 2 Str, all Con in secondaries. Put the Str in Defense or Utility. Primary offense with Con and Confront, secondary offense with Defender with Con.
DPS version: replace primary and secondary offense. Primary offense with Str, Gamblers, and DUC; secondary offense Slicer with Str. Overall, you're swapping 179 Con for Str.
