Hi everyone,

I am returning after years away and wanted to respec my character since so much has changed. I am a lifetime subscriber so I have tons of zen to spend and would like to get into the game again.

My toon - The Alpha and Omega - is an electrical god DPS monster... at least he once was. I think its time to redo all his powers. What I know is that I want him to be electrical based and badass.

Can anyone help me make him viable for pvp and pve?

Thanks!

The Alpha and Omega - Freeform

I can't really help w/ the pvp aspect- except that you may want to use a defensive passive instead, and have NTTG and/or Break Through advs somewhere.

Here's a more PVP oriented electric form.. Probably works best in ranged damage role.

I assume that's cause Elec Form will boost UR's Sonic dmg, but yeah it is a little weird thematically.

Thanks for this, but are there no pvp builds that would be more in line with my theme of a Zeus like character (ie no rifles or obvious tech?)

Here's another version that's perhaps a bit more themed? I'm more into the synergies of powers than I am about themes for Story/RP elements. Nothing wrong with that, of course! I simply prefer to kick butt instead of having a fictional story about being a person who kicks buttocks.

First off, definitely spend some time in the power house. Have a couple friends test with you in the arenas inside. This will allow you to access the Trainer between tests, changing powers on the fly. I generally build in a way that allows me first to undo the most questionable powers in a build while testing, to save me from undoing a ton of stuff to get to 1 thing I wasn't sure about. In PvP, many powers are considered to be staples: essential tools for survival.

With this build, try this: pop Ego Surge + Sonic Device, then maintain your Lightning Arc. This should be a nice burst of damage. If you spend the points I suggest on Ego Surge's R2 + Adv., you'll have a full 15 seconds of having your critical % shooting through the roof. Continue laying on the damage with devices (I highly recommend Neuroelectric Pulse Generator) and see if Gigabolt does anything significant (instead of the UR build I listed previously.)

I only put Lightning Storm in this because it looks like a nice way to control your opponents with the Stolen Thunder advantage, also it's the only Electric power I saw with NTTG adv.

EDIT: PvP builds generally don't bother with taking a block power nor a power with Breakthrough advantage. It happens but it's rare. Crippling Challenge aka Breakthrough has been nerfed big time, making it useless. Block in general can be countered with holds/knocks/stuns instead.

Hm, well its sad to hear that a mechanic mostly built for pvp isn't being taken by its players, apparently, but I guess I'll keep that in mind if anyone asks about a pvp build in the future.
