Someone may have noticed my earlier post about having multiple disconnections repeatedly, well it sure wasn't a developer! That was last week, and the disconnections have NOT abated, but continued!

Just today, I started logging in at 12:40, and after only three minutes, I was logged in! This surprised and impressed me greatly.

Anyhow, after I got logged in, and I thought that since my logging in was SO smooth, that I'd try doing some Unity missions. That was a mistake.

I started off doing a mission in the Southwest Desert, "Once Submerged" I had checked to see if I had any timed missions, but I hadn't seen any on the tracker, so I thought I hadn't any.

Once I finished that one, I went to Canada, and this is probably where I should have noticed that I did have a timed mission, but I didn't notice it until I actually went into the Canadian mission, "Breaking Out in Hives". It was after I got inside that mission that I decided to leave the untimed Canadian mission and go to the timed Lemurian mission, "Worm Warfare". It was at this point that I had TWENTY FOUR minutes left. This is signficant. Pay attention.

By the time I got through all the pleasantries of multiple "Timed out connecting to gameserver", Waiting for account server response", typing in my password, and waiting for it to respond with something favourable, oh and let's not forget, "Retrieving list of characters" and "Loading maps"I finally got to the mission in Lemuria. Just guess how much time I had to compleat it. Come on now, just guess.

I had a whole four minutes left on the clock.

I managed it, and did the rest of the Unity missions and I got done with everything by five o'clock. Yep, sure was.

While I was waiting for the game to confirm that I 'really' wanted to login, I managed to get a few chores done around the house, like feeding the cat, cleaing litter boxes, cleaning the ceiling fan blades, stuff like that I'd been ignoring when Champions would actually log me in quickly.

Today I had the pleasure of typing in my password fifty or more times. I didn't count. I think I would have gotten even angrier.

So I'm asking and pleading again, could someone please take notice of this horrible situation with the disconnections upon going into missions OR alerts? Oh, and upon taking notice, could this someone also please DO something to fix this situation?

Namaste and Thank You.

Assuming your own internet connect isn't to blame, your best bet would be to try the different proxy options, and else contact costumer support.

You can set the proxies in your launcher options, by choosing either the US or EU proxy.
Or you can set a more specific one by adding one of these to the command line field.
    -SetProxy eu1.proxy.crypticstudios.com 80
    -SetProxy eu2.proxy.crypticstudios.com 80
    -SetProxy us1.proxy.crypticstudios.com 80
    -SetProxy us2.proxy.crypticstudios.com 80

I realise that you only mean well, and I *have* seen that solution before. However, knowing this, why is it my internet connection only fails when I attempt to enter or leave a mission, or alert. If It was "my" internet connection alone causing the problem, wouldn't it tend to fail any and all the time, consistently, not just when entering an alert or mission?

I know this has nothing to do with Champions, but I can login to another online game and stay logged in all day (that's twelve to sixteen hours) with NO connection issues at all whatsoever! Why would that be if my internet connection is SO bad?

I've also seen other people on the forums complaining of the same issues that I have! Isn't that curious? Maybe the game should make an effort to make playing it easier, instead of blaming the players' connection issues?

I do thank you for the response, and I'm sorry but I'm a tad bit frustrated after contending with this issue for the past two weeks.

    Namaste and Thank You.

I now offer a sincere apology to everyone involved with Cryptic, and the last poster here. It seems that one must occasionally clean electrical connectors for them to work to their best effect, this includes wired cable connections too! I have just gotten through with doing just that, and now I have -nearly- perfect internet.

Thank you for allowing me to spout off.

    Namaste and thanks again.
