End Game Grinding

Ok, I haven't been around in a few years. I am working to get my chops back with my first and favorite toon. Thanks to some old friends I have a decent DPS build and some really decent gear. I am kind of looking for a good way to raise some globals, and get a handle on all the currencies that have appeared since I have been gone. The game has really changed.

So what are some suggestions as far as some either some solo, or random PUG grinds to get back into stuff? Get some gear for other toons, grab some globals, or other decent currencies, once I figure out what they do?

The End Game gear need you you to Cosmics Open World Bosses, Teleios Ascension Lair, they give SCR Recognitions/GCR, go into the Recognition and check out the gear.

Best way to get Globals is to farm Smash alerts, (remember to have a resource boost running when you do!).

The Mid-level end game (UNITY, old Lairs, Rampages) ia a bit of a mess so best head off to Vibora Bay (for costume drops you can sell) and from there to the Qliphothic Warzone, Cosmic Open Missions and Telios Ascendent.

Do people still want Vibora bay costume drops? I used to farm and sell those years ago. I did here the thing about cosmics, and the insane teams. I have heard they really need good groups to be successful. Same with Telios and such. I haven't tried them yet. I will make sure to hit the smash alerts though. I will need to read some guides to learn the tells and such. Or just start bocking or running when everyone else does.

imo, endgame is not a grind.....because you'd be grinding to do what? More endgame? It's just what you play because everything else is too easy. And then you get curious and look over at your GCR/SCR and see that you have a lot.

It may be a a grind for SOME folks because the rate at which they add new content to it is . . . well glacial.

OP to avoid burnout do it a little bit at a time. I'd even suggest mixing other games in between. . . I'm being serious.
  • Endgame....

    1. Cosmic fights & Eido.
    2. Rampages
    3. Nemcon
    4. Special Alerts for vigilance, and desirable drops
    5. Run q'warzone dailies.
    6. Run onslaught dailies
    7. Run TA.
    8. Run daily alert mission for SCR.
    9. Run smash alerts for resources.
    10. Collect mods click-spawns (one source of safeguard catalysts)
    11. Work on vehicle upgrades.
    12. Work on perks for device and costume unlocks.
    13. Help with whatever events are happening (many of these fail miserably without some Vetarns doing thier thing... If you don't know what those things are than find out).
    14. Develop a money making strategy on the AH or trade channel... Possibly involving farming which give an added time sink.
    15. Make an alt that is significantly different than your main and repeat 1-14.

Everyone likes having new stuff... But IMHO there is plenty of stuff to fill up an evening of gaming each night.

If I could have anything it would be more content like TA... 5 man epic dungeons, please.

Another epic lair would definitely go a long way.

People who grind so much that it's not fun anymore have only themselves to blame - nobody forced you to do that.

More epic solo content please! Why? Because sometimes I just want to do something challenging by myself that has a decent reward. I don't level characters by just running alerts, main reason being that I like doing mission arcs where I can spend my time doing it how I want to do it and don't have to worry about other players aggravating me, or me aggravating them.

You've been soloing QWZ right? o.o

The existence of one area that many people find irritating for many reasons doesn't really rule out a request for "more", does it?
  • jaazaniah1jaazaniah1 Posts: 5,552 Arc User
Well, I did specify mission arc type of content, yes? I do QWZ but like I said, I enjoy mission/story arcs. You know, the things we do to level when not doing alerts. I'd also be happy to have the equivalent of epic level 40 bank robbery/help a citizen like missions in MC. The Qzone gets hard on the eyes.

I don't remember claiming it did. Can you quote that? thx :'3

I mean think about it jonesy... you're trying to imply that SpinnyTop of all people is trying to shut down a request for more challenging content? ...did you think about that at all? :'D

I would also like that. More challenging content is always a good thing ^_^

btw if qwz is hard on your eyes it might be solved by changing your brightness settings. It's never really bothered me.

Personally I think it would be neat if they took the Comic Series and made level 40 epic versions of them :'3 something I've been asking for for a while

Haha, good point. Then again, I'm left wondering why you would mention it at all in response to what Jaazaniah said. Sometimes you seem to exist solely as a contrarian imp, so it's tough to say. :p

This would be awesome. I'd add the other repeatable stuff like the Mechanon and Cybermind mission chains. Beef up the challenge substantially and give them QWZ-ish rewards.

Well one time someone was like "I wish there was challenging solo content that gives actual rewards in the game" and then I mentioned soloing QWZ and they were like "Oh there is, I'll go do that now"... so I make sure to mention it anytime someone says something like that.

    FACT
    I can relate
POWERFRAME REVAMPS, NEW POWERS and BUG FIXES > Recycled Content and Events and even costumes at this point Introvert guy who use CO to make his characters playable and get experimental with Viable FF Theme builds! Running out of Unique FF builds due to the lack of updates and synergies! Playing since 1 February 2011 128 + Characters (21 ATs, 107 FFs) ALTitis for Life!
  • Don't stop there... Make an epic45 option for all instanced missions.... I skipped a lot of content on the way to 40. If i could do it against lvl45 epics, that would be great.

ALL INSTANCED MISSIONS is a bit much... but all the lairs and all the comic series? yes plz :'3

I was gonna correlate to a similar context like this but thought others would figure it out... Dopamine and Serotonin Rush go!
Want to get to know me a bit better, Click me and take a read of My Dragon Profile Page, it's a bit dated but still relevant.

I take this quote from a review that I agree with.

"customisation is so linear; everyone is after the optimal dps:survivability ratio with 0 reliance on other players = autonomous gameplay... Players don't need each other anymore... which in my opinion is a bad thing."
