ZEN Store
  • Added Scorching Speed, Scorching Athletics and Blazing Acrobatics travel powers.
  • Swapped the Blazing Speed icon to match the animation it uses.
  • Added Flaming Eye aura pack.



Misc
  • Fixed a bug where some NPC's started using incorrect animations.
  • Corrected some outdated loading screen tooltips.
  • Removed the on alert button on the queue window.
  • Made a change to one of Pulse Beam Rifle's Finite Probability Engine's debuffs so it no longer provides a ton of resistance to targets.

    What does it do now?​​
    POWERFRAME REVAMPS, NEW POWERS and BUG FIXES > Recycled Content and Events and even costumes at this point Introvert guy who use CO to make his characters playable and get experimental with Viable FF Theme builds! Running out of Unique FF builds due to the lack of updates and synergies! Playing since 1 February 2011 128 + Characters (21 ATs, 107 FFs) ALTitis for Life!

    It might seem small to some but this is a needed bit of housekeeping that I'm very glad to see finally fixed.

    But now I have to retcon. :anguished:

    Not sure if I have any freebies left and I was hoping to save my influence for a different character's retcon.
    That being said, maybe I should hold off on that other retcon in case there are any more "special" acrobatics/athletics types of powers in the works.

    How about offering bundle packs with these new travel powers and a retcon token together?
    I figure that more than just me may want "Scorching athletics" for their character but have no free travel power slots.

    That means that they will need to retcon if they are going to take it, so a bundle pack discount might help them out and the savings, modest though they may be, could help them make the decision.

    Heck, some people just shopping for a retcon token might decide to spend the extra in order to get the travel power "just in case" if there is a discount involved.

    Now I need a "Blazing Rebirth".

    So is Scorching Speed supposed to backflip when going forwards, rather than just run backwards like regular Super/Mach Speed? 'cause it feels a lil' bit out of place at this speed, compared to when you backflip during Acrobatics/Athletics TPs.

    Indeed. It had been causing confusion to new players and returning players about the past vs. the current mechanics in-game.

    I think the change to PBR is to do with the Teddification ray. People used to (occasionally) turn event bosses into Teddies, which had the unfortunate effect of making them almost impossible to damage. You can imagine how popular that was. Good show if that's been fixed.

    HEY MAYBE someday you can revamp Containment Field, Force Cascade's Containment Blast and Banish so they wont apply that mindless resistance buff on target
    I think the change to PBR is to do with the Teddification ray. People used to (occasionally) turn event bosses into Teddies, which had the unfortunate effect of making them almost impossible to damage. You can imagine how popular that was. Good show if that's been fixed.

    No, Teddification is exlusive to Experimental Blaster
    Which got fixed 2 years ago so every rank 3 villain and bosses are Immune to it

    What was fixed here is Pulse Beam Rifle's Finite Improbability Engine
    and adv which applies different DEBUFFs on the target

    One of those "Debuff" was giving an obnoxious resistance Boost to the target, basically a BUFF
    this allowed people" to screw up and grief cosmics which require DPS Races (Teleiosarus, Eidolon e.t.c)
    What does it do now?

    but again, i avoid this ADV like the plague​​

    is it intentional for blazing acrobatics to do the ground crack animation every time you jump even a little?

    Eh, what they should do is apply a force field effect with the same health as the hold, and then make the hold health way higher.

    I knew because I actually checked the tooltip for the displaced effect.

    It looks really cool though. :D

    Ok, after further testing. this isn't the full "superhero landing" ground crack, it's a smaller version you see on some surfaces every time you take a step.

    The effort of super speed on the ground as you move, I assume what that implies, anyways, Blazing speed has the fire contrails that emanate from the feet so I'd suggest using that then.

    meh, I don't really care, it's actually thematically appropriate as the character uses might powers mixed with fire anyways.

    Well if I were buying travel powers I would care. If that's how it's intended to work okay, but I agree with your initial interpretation and it also feels like a glitch to me, and if it is it would be nice if they fixed it.

    I would be be way way way way more inclined to buy these if I did not have to burn a full retcon to swap out the movement. All it would take would be an option that comes with a movement purchase to swap it out for one of your other movements. I mean Blazing Acrobatics would be epic for my fire character, but I'm not going to buy it because I can't put it in without using a full retcon (or spending a bunch of G).

    Y'know, if you only respec back as far as your 2nd travel power, you can just do it there and swap the spots on your tray. Unless that's what you mean by "spending a bunch of Gs" (I wouldn't call that a bunch in a game where Gs flow like water).

    Less viable if you've already respecced your character once, and selected both travel powers at the same time, before selecting any advantages. (My default behaviour is to select movementn powers before regular powers, so it gets worse)
