Oh, evidently NVidia put out a press release stating the Switch will be using a specialized Tegra chip. Reports claim this puts the Switch's power around the PS4. Will have to wait and see I guess.

Well it seems that Nintendo has learned from their mistakes with their poor marketing of the Wii U in the past.

Nintendo's strength has always been their first party titles. There are already quite a number of them on the Wii U to make the console more than worth it to purchase. No doubt they'll continue this tradition, but having much better third party support is definitely an edge they'll need over their competition.

A new Mario Kart being shown in the trailer (It's not 8 because there's no King Boo in 8) is already enough to get me interested. The Splatoon game though, I'm not sure if it's going to be a new one, because I'm also hoping for backwards compatibility.

I'm also curious about battery life when it comes to its portable function compared to the 3DS.

So, they are UniqueDragon and believe everything has gone to the Americans? Anyways back on point, sadly there won't be any further details until after the new year about the Switch. Oh well, hopefully soon.

OK its a bit odd but its got more power than the standard Xbox One its around PS4 levels. So that means plenty of 3rd party ports and again its being a handheld think of the Pokemon game that will come out on that..most likely a open world one @_@"

So they go into a British invention ( the computer ) to use another American/British invention ( the internet ) to moan about European style culture ( which you could class America under ) on a forum of a game based on and American TV show made by Americans?

Talking as someone how sells vidah games as a living I have to admit the moment I seen the Wii U's pad I honestly thought that machine was going to be a Jaguar level flop. Big pads put people off. Couple that with the fact the Wii U was around Ps3 levels of power. It was a disappointing product ( all be it one with some of the greatest games ever made ).






The Switch is an altogether better device. I am calling it now The Switch will do much better than the Wii U for the following reasons.

This one manages to have Nintendo levels of gimmicky batshit while still having more power than a standard xbox one. The power of it means more 3rd party ports so more people will be happy to splash out on one. Most Important. Its getting Skyrim. Of course Beth wont officially say this till after about a month of Skyrim Ps4/Xbone being out so not to affect sales of that. So expect Skyrim Switch to be announced sometime in December. Its also got Super Mario, Mario Kart, Splatoon and Zelda at launch with a true Pokemon game in the works. Finally its Control pad while still gimmicky still functions as a normal game pad. Its ticking all the right boxes.

I will stock more of these things than I did the Wii U as its by default a better product.

I've never judged a game console by how much power it has under the hood. If it has good, fun games, I think it's a good console. Probably 70% of all the games on all my Nintendo systems I own are actual Nintendo first-party games. I mean, that's the reason to buy a Nintendo. If I want games that come out on other systems, I'll just buy that system too. I never had an Xbox or Playstation 2 because I never saw any games on them that I just needed to have.

So, anyway, since the Wii U has good games on it, I consider it not disappointing. The controllers don't matter to me unless they make the games less fun to play. The Wii U pad doesn't make things less fun to play, for me.

Smack your looking at the Wii U the correct way gamer wise. Me I looked at it in a "Will I be able to shift units way?"

I love my Wii U I play Mario Maker and Xenoblade X almost daily but it lacked the power to get even the basic ports of recent games and sales suffered. People love Nintendo, sales of their handhelds back this fact up ( lets not forget this will be the mother of all handhelds but what the average Joe gamer wants is a machine with a decent enough power and a normal **** controller.

At basic level the average Joe will also look at this and go so this is a handheld then? Does it have Pokemon? Cool I'll buy one!

Nintendo has came up with a product that does just that while still having that Nintendo Brand Batshit that die hard Nintendo fans love. Its win win. I've not been this hyped for a console since the SNES.

So hang on, Nintendo felt that they could confidently show Skyrim and NBA 2K17 being played on their new console in the reveal video and now the developers are saying that nothing is confirmed?

This smells like false advertising. Maybe being able to play Skyrim on a portable tablet-sized console is a little too good to be true.

Actually fi you read the wording it was neither a confirm nor deny, but it seems silly, since Bethesda had to ok this, to have Skyrim shown on the handheld there. The only reason they are not saying anything, and the most likely, is because Bethesda wants to make sure the money pours in from initial re-mastered sales and then try to resell it later when the Switch comes out. Because people will wait if they believe they can get a product on a system they would prefer after all.

Again, Nintendo couldn't showcase those games without those companies permission so yea.

No I've seen this kind of thing before. This is even worse than that.

They are on the machine. They wont be confirmed till the end of the year so not to affect the sales of Ps4 and Xbox One versions. To put just a enough doubt in someones mind so they don't hold off on Skyrim on Ps4 hoping that gamers will not only double dip on the Ps4 version but also cave in and buy the Switch version.

If they were concerned with not wanting the sales of the PS4 and Xbox1 versions of the games being hurt then they simply shouldn't have allowed the games to be shown being played on the Switch in the video. The video is an advertisement and whatever that's advertised has to be accurate to the product itself, unless there's a disclaimer being put in the video to show that things are subject to change, which they didn't. The games had better be on the system, because if it turns out that they aren't, it would be false advertising.

Well Skyrim had better be on the system because being able to play Skyrim on the go and even onboard the plane would be flippin' awesome.

Yeah no worries they are on the system. Its like Resident Evil 2 on Dreamcast that was shown off on the machine but Capcom did not confirm it till after the platinum re-release of the Ps1 version.
