Mercenary gear or Heroic?

Is there any significant difference between the two? If I already have Merc gear, is Heroic worth it or should I save my silver for super high end stuff?

Heroic is definitely better. It's not just getting the quality boost but it has more stats. Example:

So... my Heroic has:
+51 con
+55 Int
+19 def
+68 Off
+181 CritS

If I put the same mods into a Merc piece I'd get:
+51 con
+55 Int
+17 def
+0 Off
+170 CritS

tiny difference... except the offense. This seems to be true of all Merc stuff. It's missing a stat compared to Heroic. Whether it's worth replacing... I'll leave that choice to you.
