You can also ask some of the longtime players (by which I mean the guys who picked up the PnP version even before I did! ). There's a lot of stuff out there, and some of it never even gets covered in the game...

If everyone in the channel uses a cat toon, would it be a "Chat" channel? ...Chat chatter? Kato Chatto? Just Gatto ask...

So how often do you search for lore??

Courage is doing what is right even when it isn't popular or safe. Honor is retaining the dignity and virtue in one's self, so it can light the way for others in the darkest of times. Compassion is showing patience and mercy towards others, even when it isn't returned or deserved. A hero is defined by these 3 words, they set him apart from others as a beacon of hope and excellence.

Maybe it would be a "Chat" channel in France. :p

To give a semi-serious answer in the spirit of the thread, the Champions world has several potential sources for cat characters besides manimals. You can have unique genetically-engineered cat-human hybrids made by brilliant scientists, like Lynx of the Brain Trust, and Pantera of Eurostar. There are supernatural therianthropes, such as Tiger-Man, a hero of Hong Kong. Then you have feline alien races, the Fex and the Kadathari.

A lot of that lore info has been posted on the champions-pen-and-paper-rpg sub-forum. That's probably the best place to post lore questions that will draw the attention of people familiar with the extensive PnP game background that CO is based on.
  • huh, if they have all that for cats, what do they have for wolves? (besides the obvious werewolf, of course)

Well, the supervillain Fenris was a biologist and zoologist obsessed with the werewolf legend who created a "lycanthrope serum" infusing his body with wolf genes, granting him the physical prowess, and some of the mentality, of a wolf. He looks wholly human but wears a costume which makes him look like a wolf-man.

Although not 'wolves' strictly speaking, the alien Pograckian race resemble humanoid dogs, even to having features and fur patterns reminiscent of some Terrestrial dog breeds. Their sense of smell is also dog-keen, and they can deliver a nasty bite.

Plus manimals. And yeah, werewolves. ;)
