Seems like every villain in the game, whether it's a thug on the west side, or Kigatillik in Canada, doesn't have a range restriction, like our Heroes do. I have played the original Champions RPG game (Pen and Dice) since it came out, and the range for some powers was LOS (Line of Sight). However, in the Champions Online game, we are restricted to 100 feet...while Enemies are hitting us far beyond that range. My question is, why the huge discrepancy?
For example; I have a 40th level (Terra Watt), who I recently took to fight the Terrasaur on Monster Island. I have Electric and Earth powers, with that character, and when I got close enough to fight, One shot, and I was down. This was before I was in range of a lightning bolt (100 ft) and I spent more time getting respawned than I did fighting.
Now, I understand that the monsters are going to be difficult to beat, but, no chance at all takes the fun out of the game, and makes it very frustrating. Even with a vehicle, and maximum flight/travel powers, you cannot escape fast enough to avoid being taken out, even before you get in range of your attacks.
Devs, fair is fair. If we have range restrictions, so should the enemy.

The reason why there's a massive difference, as far as I can imagine, is because enemies need to be able to hit us if we're utilizing our travel powers.
It's why you'll see NPCs with predominantly melee attacks, hitting you in 100ft or more range with one ranged attack.
I think if NPC's were as "capable" as some players are...there'd be a much more worrying and less attractive problem in CO's combat.
There's no point having enemies if there's not even the tiniest "threat" to the player. In this situation, it's NPCs having an equal or sometimes greater range than players.
Same thing applies to their Health Points and some of their attacks. Certain player attacks (Kinetic Darts) will never hit as hard as say...The Fiend's version of Kinetic Darts or have as much range, but the upside is that...players can heal and generally speaking NPCs can't.
I could understand the frustration better if all NPCs had travel powers and healing abilities.
