Ego Sprites

I know this is old news, but I can't help but wonder why Ego Sprites hasn't been fixed. They still disappear sometimes when they should be dealing damage. Adding a new zone is cool and all but why can't old problems be resolved? I've been playing since 2013, and Ego Sprites have been inexplicable disappearing the whole time.

This ability is wonderful when it works as expected. It's useless when it doesn't. On my non-tank characters, I lose fights when they disappear. I would really like for this power to work like it's supposed to.

    They got changed form 50ft ranged to ground zero 25ft. so they can go off , when there are no targets nearby.
    as for the vanishing strangely. I've been playing since 2012, use them a lot and never had that happen.

    did you check the combat log and see if it's the damage floaters are not showing.I thought mine weren't doing the required amount of ticks going on damage floaters(just after they changed the range) , turns out they were, just the damage floaters weren't showing​​

    I have seen this happen. For me, it seems to happen only when I start to block. Once I block, all my sprites disappear. I have looked over the description and it doesn't saying anything about block cancelling Ego Sprites so I assume this is a manifestation of the bug you are describing. Certain makes things quite a bit harder when my CC Telepath can't DoT everyone and the block while they die.

    I can confirm this behavior. As someone who runs a "Dog Whisperer", I use Ego Sprites a lot, and they often are canceled when I block. This can cancel the healing advantage (Slave Mentality), too.

    The others are correct, this seems to happen when you block (with both the previous and current versions of the power), which makes no sense. I have less of a problem with this when I'm playing the tank I have this on because I don't have to block nearly as much, but my newer character is support. I may have to rethink things--or reroll my powers--to compensate. But I'm still hoping this will at some point get fixed, because other than this Ego Sprites are one of my favorite powers.
