Extra Device Slot for Gold ATs

As of right now, there really isn't any reason for a Gold to play an archetype, because the only feature they have is reduced diminishing returns. But that can easily be overcome through optimization, leading to FFs that are strictly superior to ATs. To remain worth playing for subscribers, ATs need some feature not directly related to bigger numbers that FFs cannot replicate.

A simple solution is to just give them an extra device slot.

To be clear, this would only apply to archetypes played by subscribers. ATs played by Silvers would still be limited to 5 device slots (unless Cryptic decided to make it a purchasable thing, like the Silver FF slot, but that would presumably be similarly expensive).

Sorry, but no. AT's don't need an extra device slot to make them more palatable. It is a persons choice to play as an AT or a freeform if they are gold, and of course the strongest thing is the freeform.​​

False choice? But I like my behemoth, tempest, and automaton. And I've been a LTSer since the launch of the game. Its not a false choice, its just that most ATs are rather boring to play and don't offer what FF offers. Nothing false about it. Its just a simple matter of preference.

I think that, thanks to ATs, I got a better(and safer!) grip on FF powers. I mean, all ATs are nothing more than FF-lights(minus the survivability/3 extra powers..). Also, for me personally(and this is only my preference). Once I went FF, the only thing to get me to go back to a AT?: Ults on ATs, and even then? Nope.

We don't need to put more differences between silver & gold besides inborn tenacity & tinting, we need to get rid of those ones instead, to business model of this game was solid pay-to-speed.

It doesn't need to be a good choice. Playing an AT or a FF is not a gameplay decision, and there's no reason to make it one.

Mine, or someone else? . But then think about the semantics/aesthetics; "Hey, ATs get a free device slot and FFs don't?". I don't think it'd go over too terribly well. Not as bad as say, giving ATs way more survivability than FFs, but still.
Granted I support(well-played) ATs, as without them, I wouldn't have to gumption to just dive whole-hog into FFs.
