That Time When Offense Isn't Offense

So, much the fool I am, I worked so hard to save up my GCR and get my perk to buy my [Cosmic Fang of Wrath] to slot with my [Qwijibo's Fury 5] (me being a Fire and all) and lo and behold, it turns out the Qwij mod is a UTILITY! I mean, silly me that I would assume offense is, you know, offense. I totally missed the new notation that it is a Utility Core because I fused it up before the update that added that important bit of information. So, now I wasted my time and GCR to get something pretty much useless.

I mean, it's only that the Cosmic Fang comes from the Qwij perk and the Qwij's Fury mod drops from Qwij, but of course makes no sense that these would go together. Really, WHAT was I thinking?!!?

My feedback is that this is ridiculous.

well, considering that the depleted uranium core is the only offensive core and all the other damage-boosters are utility, obviously cryptic wants them to be utility​​

I hope they allow legacy mods like critical core. I have one in my bank from before the lair mission reward nerf.

So what goes in the [Cosmic Fang of Wrath]? I mean, you can't put any of the Impact/Gambler's/Etc items in there. And you can't put a stat bonus mod. So what goes in there?

Read the full page. There is a Severity Core that you can get from the GCR vendor now.

It's one GCR, and one SCR for a rank 3 core.

So there is ONE mod that goes into this piece? And it is not even that interesting. Meanwhile, offense bonuses go into Utility?
