In-depth Video Guide

Tech Healer Build

Recommended: Big-**** gloves. With some glow.

Stats
HP: 8,562

Dex: 65
Con: 183
Pre: 406

Crit Chance: 27%
Severity: 50%

Offense: 9.6%
Defense: 38%

Gear

Presence to 400 for more-better healing and energy from Compassion. Severity is crap, but chance is more important for tree procs anyway. Similar stats should be achievable with other 3 slot gear. I just happen to have heroics from before the SCR Price Apocalypse.

Heroic Gloves of Offense (crit or healing would be better)
- Con r5 x2
- Gamblers r5
Heroic Breastplate of HP
- Pre r5 x2
- Impact r5
Heroic Helm of Efficiency
- Pre r5 x2
- Gamblers r5

Commanding Belt: Pre / Offense (crit or healing would be better here too)
Domineering Bracers: Pre / HP
Amicable Eyepiece: Pre / Cooldown Reduction

Pros and Cons

+ Res for everyone
+ Basic healing early for people who like alerts
+ Always On light AoE healing
+ Sentinel Mastery still awesome
+ Celestial Conduit for AoE healing or AoE damage

+ Illumination as aoe Buff and Debuff
+ Short range aoe heal on tap
+ De-buffs / Utility / Crowd Control
+ Heirloom Gear leveling is fine since the end build is mostly pre

- A bit of a late bloomer for getting all the core powers
- AoE requires Illuminate for the AoE part
- Conviction is pricey before cost discount kicks in
- Ermygawd! a power from the Automatron

- Force Power knocks can be annoying
- Celestial Conduit chains have a bit of a delay
- 10 Int isn't terribly useful for MSA
- Some energy issues in hybrid / pretend level 30

Looks pretty good for the theme. If ya want less energy issues overall, ya could replace Illumination + Conduit w/ Iniquity and the Justice adv. Then ya can prob also nix ranking the end builder. Its a diff approach, though, since the heal becomes a cone instead of a chain, ya don;t use ur heal offensively, and its not crit-based (can get Precise in Sentry instead- Moment of Glory is still good for boosting everything else in the build). Arcane Vit is another option for an AoE heal that can still crit. I also consider Protection Field to fit tech-based builds pretty well.

Hope they add a regular heal to Gadgeteering sometime, so these sort of builds don't have to sample from magic theme sets as much.

    Really Interesting build
I was talking last week with some friends about a DEX-primary healer idea, with that Crazy Critical Severity and PRE Stacking it will be incredible

I kinda wish we had Medical Gadget Healing tho, Celestial Conduit isnt that techy :P

I'm waiting for the day when we can shoot people in the back to heal them. It will be glorious. I also am waiting for the day when making a bash-to-heal build is something other than a cheezy gimic that is a sad mockery of a Warrior Priest.

Iniquity looks a lot less techy than Celestial Conduit. Also: Ew, bubbles.

The last time I made a crit healer was way back before OnAlert when IDF wasn't a form and I'm pretty sure Compassion didn't exist.

    Great Build!!!

I was thinking that Ice, Electricity,or Darkness might make good alternate swap in's for the attack powers:
    Powers:
    Level 1: Ice Shards
Level 1: Ice Blast (Rank 2, Frost Bite)
Level 6: Ice Shield (Rank 2, Frigid Air)
    Powers:
    Level 1: Electric Bolt
Level 1: Lightning Arc (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 6: Electric Shield (Rank 2, Electric Vengeance)
    Powers:
    Level 1: Shadow Bolt
    Level 1: Shadow Embrace
Level 6: Ebon Void (Rank 2, Voracious Darkness)
Electricity is probably the most "Techy" of those alternates. Could work really well with a steampunk theme.

Overall.... good out of the box thinking here.

I mostly picked force powers because they're pretty and I can't color my powers being a filthy silver and all.

Mr. Freeze did the tech ice thing, so it's not exactly crazy talk. Shadow stuff is more of the weird one to me, but I'm sure there's probably some tech comic book character than uses something that looks like it. Poison powers would probably work too. Too bad there wasn't an emanation point for toxic breath for, say, a hand or weapon slot. Like a flame thrower / gauntlet but with poison. Which of course, means fire would work too.
