Kaiserin has said that low level heroes likely will not be able to score enough to earn participation, and that is intended.

The revamped Cosmics are not meant to play like events such as Takofanes.

as long as reasonably (heroic, merc) geared level 40s score rewards.

That will likely depend on build and play. There's somewhere around a factor of four difference between top and bottom at the same gear grade; this is a combination of build and how you use the build.

My worry is many people are going to try their hardest and get nothing. this is the pitfall of these systems.

Pretty sure the intent is to reward "good at the game", not "tried hard". Any challenging content is going to have people who fail.

So they are Liberated Mega-D level?

Anyone thinking of organizing another test of the cosmics now that changes have been made? It would be nice to see have a test of the scoring system before it goes live.

1 . I will make an updated Thread about a new PTS testing event for the community. We have been talking about it - I've been busy with school.

    2. There were developer tokens given out for participating. I will ask and see if we can get a dev to show up for testing again and if we could be rewarded developer tokens for participating.

They let you get an Action Figure of a dev. In chat people were told to pm when they got back on live. I dunno if there is a record of who was there.

So... have these guys been buffed to Liberated Mega-D level? I'm using that as an example because I've not fought anything else equally tough.

Somewhere about there. Probably a bit tougher to be honest. The Liberated Mega-Ds (when there is just one) could be survivable if you just blocked constantly. You cannot solo any of these cosmics no matter how tough you are - they simply do too much damage and their mechanics require a team. For example, if you don't do enough damage on Teleiosaurs during her healing buff, she will gain a major amount of life back. For Kigatilik, you need several tanks to kite and separate the hounds from each other since they will give each other buffs when they roar.

So they are large player events, but unlike liberated destroyers, there is a bit of coordination involved and it isn't just a numbers game to pile on damage.

-NO- Content should only be rewarding for less than 50% of the playerbase.

Actually there should be content that is only rewarding for those that participate in it. That is why it exists. If you give rewards for people that don't do the content then you pretty much negate the reason to have the content. If you want the items, then you should need to do the content to get them.

That's an interesting number. It always amazes me how much drastically less faith you have in players than I do... and yet people want to call me the elitist

Evidently, if you enjoy the content and are willing to take people through, no matter what they bring, you are evidently an elitest, despite the person calling you an elitest has a strict policy of who they will invite and their guild rules sound like one goose step away from an internment camp.

Nah your not an elitist your an experiment done by the CIA that tried to combine the DNA of Lord Zedd, Hello Kitty and a small gerbil named Dave. Giant mutated gerbils destroyed half the west coast.

Obama ended up firing the CIA and getting Godzilla to clean up the mess. He would have hired the Power Rangers but they are to busy playing Dark Souls 3 and posting the latest outrage that triggered them on tumblr.
