Totally not Inspired by Tales of Symphonia
EDIT1: yes it could be pretty much be an Ultimate, so im gonna post alternative data for the Tier 4, Honestly this power could work for me either as Tier 3 or as an Ultimate
EDIT2: YEAP! you know what, this power makes a perfect Ultimate for Celestial!
EDIT3: I leave it to DEV's own Judgement, but I would prefer the spammable aoe version than the Ultimate! other ideas exist for ultimates

With the recent Powerframe revamps and new power additions I would like to make my wacky JRPG Ideas suggestions for new powers

I would also like to see Celestial to get Damage option pottential and not just Healing! Call me crazy but in the future i do want to make a Celestial DPS
Judgement

Alternative Name(s): Divine Wrath, Photom Storm, Ray of Light, Pillar Storm, Light something something! Judgement sounds more epic! Yeah I know there is an ADV called Judgement but come on
Description: You cast Divine wrath from the heavens wich Condemn enemies and Purify Allies


Visuals: Like Avalance but replace the icicles with Light Pillars

This power shall use Multiply pillars of light (taken from Vengeance/Condemn powers) constantly falling from heaven while maintaining it
The more you maintain the power, the stronger the damage output gets

Requirements: Tier 3 (or Tier 4 if its an Ultimate)
Framework: Celestial
Damage Type: Dimensional
Power Type: Ranged Area Attack
Power Family: Mystic
Method: Maintain
# of Ranks: 3
# of Advantages: 3-4 (???)
Hue Alteration: Yes
Advanced Info
Initial Cost: 32++
Maintain Cost: 20 per .5 sec
Damage: ??? per .5 sec
Activation Time : 0.5 sec
Duration: 5 sec
Range: 50 feet (or 80 feet if its an Ultimate like Gravity Driver)
Lockdown : Yes
Area of Effect 15 foot Sphere (or 40 feet its an Ultimate like Gravity Driver)
Max. Targets 5 (or 10 if its an Ultimate)
Knock Type Knockdown
Knock Condition 10% chance
Possible Side effects ???:
  • Enemies effected by illumination takes additional hits from this power
  • 10% chance to knockdown the enemy
  • Applies Random Debuffs on effected targets (like the new Skarn's Bane)
  • Applies [insert possible Celestial Debuff]

(note, Im using AVALANCE as reference here)

Synergies with:
Illumination, Overdrive, Celestial Energy Unlock (we need one)



Advantages
[Divine Judgement] (3? Advantage Points or 2 ADVs which cost 2 points each)
Applies BUFF on friendly target who stand inside the Area of Effect
Give a small amount of Energy to allies per hit
Allies effected by illumination will also get healed if they are on the Area of Effect (Reference: Celestial Conduit]
The Healing effect scales with your PRE and Bonus Healing, the Healing can Critical Hit

This Advantage trades the DPS potential of this power for pure support
of course those effects can be splitted into 2 different advantages so you will have to trade both rank 2 and 3 of this power to go full support

Accelerated Metabolism (1 Advantage Point)

Challenging Strikes (1 Advantage Point)


There is an option here, you can use the power either Offensive, Supportive or a mix of both

The Visuals are already ingame

Feel free to suggest additional advantages and synergies

I wrote it a little hasty and i may made it look overpowered, but I want it to have some interesting synergies and side effects! Yeah im definatly not the best person to create and balance powers onion-55.gif​​

    Reading this makes me recall Roxas' Limit Break in KH 358/2 days and KH2.

    Considering all the things it does, the damage would have to be kinda low... I mean geez, knockdown, debuff, healing, energy gain, random debuffs, challenging strikes, aoe, maintain, it slices, it dices, it makes julian fries, it'll unclog your toilet and relieve your dry eyes!

    It should probably have a cooldown. This practically sounds like an Ultimate.

    PS - I find it weird that you say that you want Celestial to have more dps options, but then you added healing and other support functions to this power which would necessitate it having lower dps for balance. Personally I would have gone with a pure dps power.

    It would fit, but I'm really liking the word Judgement used in an epic attack like that!

    Once again, Im horrible with Making and Balancing powers!
    I wanted this power to be a little Epic and "unique"
    The random effects it could have are just suggestions

    It pretty much could, in fact due to my hasty typing I pretty much made this power an Ultimate with all the effects
    but I wish we had a spammable powers instead of waiting 1 min to cast this epic spell

    There are (very few) character concepts who use Celestial as DPS

    And that is where you basically abandoned your initial goal. See, the reason there are very few people using Celestial as dps is because it's bad at it... because all the powers are balanced around not being pure dps. If you add some viable pure-dps powers to the framework, then more people will start using it for pure dps. The reason people don't generally try to make character concepts that have "awesome celestial wrath!" at their core is because it doesn't pan out in gameplay.

    If the Rumor for a possible new Celestial DPS AT is true, i will bump this idea

    Just throwing ideas for the devs, i leave the final power to their own Judgement
    I personaly would like to see it a spammable AoE like Avalance (YES I MAY MARRY THIS POWERS, DONT JUDGE ME)

    Celestial Poweframe needs
    1. A Thematic Block
    2. Energy Unlock (you can't relly on Darkness unlock)
    3. AoE Attacks
    4. Pets
    5. ULTIMATES

    Sorcery also needs Energy Unlock btw, dont mind the Grimoire AT, let it be with Circle of Arcane Power​​
