You know, the stuff you collect from the Rifts in the special assignment Unity missions. Are these good for anything these days? I see that you can convert them to mods/cores, but are they of any other use?
That's about what I thought. Thanks, all, for the info.
It would be great, btb, if the Devs would punch up the Unity Missions system by layering some 40+ crafting options that use some rare materials, like CQE drops, and perhaps some newly introduced materials, over the existing crafting system. I get that we sort of already do something like with Recognition and Questonite and Drifter Salvage and the like, but I liked the old system where we "made" some of our top-end gear and whatnot rather simply buying it. Not really all that different in practice, sure, but the game is about immersion as well as practicality and I, for one, enjoy the thought of my toons laboring away in their sanctums and lairs trying to build a cool piece of unique(ish) gear or researching a new power or spell...
I enjoyed some aspects of old crafting, though my toon had better than crafted gear using rare drops and the Auction House after a short time at level 40.
My suggestion would be that when you convert a CQE into a mod, it becomes a R6 or R7 core mod.
