Returning Dps FF Need help with skills and powers for TA

melatetomelateto Posts: 20 Arc User
hi all , im a returning player , and im a little lost with the changes to the skills in the last patch.
In the past i used a 2 gun mojo/fighting claws build ( i got a lot of dps with these...), but now , with the resent changes , i feel that this doest work anymore.
So changing my build seems a good choise, but i dont know what are the top dps skills now. I read that you need the most damaging skills and builds to go to TA. Normally i like to mix martial arts with other powersets. So what can i do to improve my build, or i have to change it to something different for TA . And also y want to know what powers are considered strong to be used in teleios.

Thnks for all =P

Old build:

6 Dexterity (Primary)
10 Strength (Secondary)
15 Ego (Secondary)

1 Gunslinger (advantages)
1 Two-Gun Mojo (Rank 2, Close the Gap)
6 Killer Instinct
8 Thunderbolt Lunge (advantages)
11 Form of the Tempest (advantages)
14 Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
17 Masterful Dodge (advantages)
20 Dragon's Claws (Rank 2, Rank 3, Accelerated Metabolism)
23 Lead Tempest (Rank 2, Tread Softly)
26 Telekinetic Shield (Rank 2, Rank 3, Telekinetic Reinforcement)
29 Lock N Load (advantages)
32 Strafing Run (Rank 2, Rank 3) or Ricochet Throw (Rank 2, Microelectronic Controllers)
35 Bountiful Chi Resurgence (Rank 2, Resurgent Reiki)
38 Night Warrior (Rank 2, Rank 3)

I guess to go back to the basics- do you want to be primarily melee (MA) or ranged (TGM and/or other Muni)? And do you still want to take adv of NW"s Sneak?

i prefer to be Primary melee and i find NW very usefull ( because i think i can have one ranged attack with decent damage if i use NW as passive).
But i am open to any advice.

Well, if ya wanna keep using Ricochet Throw to its fullest then you'll want to keep NW.

Here's a sample build using NW + RThrow, and Fighting Claws for most of the rest:

    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Archetype: Freeform

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Strength (Primary)
    Level 10: Dexterity (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents:
    Level 1: The Master
    Level 6: Covert Ops Training
    Level 9: Physical Conditioning
    Level 12: Acrobat
    Level 15: Martial Focus
    Level 18: Quick Recovery
    Level 21: Impresario

    Powers:
    Level 1: Boomerang Toss
Level 1: Ricochet Throw (Rank 2, Microelectronic Controllers)
    Level 6: Viper's Fangs (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 8: Form of the Tempest
Level 11: Night Warrior (Rank 2, Rank 3, Silent Running)
    Level 14: Dragon's Claws (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 17: Eye of the Storm (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 20:
    Level 23: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 26: Masterful Dodge
Level 29: Energy Shield (Rank 2, Laser Knight)
    Level 32: Palliate (Absolve)
    Level 35: Rebirth
    Level 38: Resurrection Serum

    Travel Powers:
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations:
    Strength: Swole (2/3)
    Strength: Physical Peak (3/3)
    Strength: Brutality (2/2)
    Strength: Juggernaut (3/3)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (2/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Elusive (2/2)
    Warden: Upper Hand (1/3)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)

Added EotS in there too if ya wanna turtle up w/ its shield at any point, and gave ya Str PSS's Juggernaut and Wardicator to make you more hardy as a dps. Also Included both ally and self-reses; the ally one is more accessory (if ur feeling altruistic enough), though I would at least keep Rebirth for TA.

The empty middle slot should go to Steadfast (MA's new energy unlock)- though MSA could work as the EU w/ a bit of build re-tooling.

thnks alot i will try it
but i have some questions , why eye of the storm have rank 3 instead of blade beyond the veil? why there is not active offense? and do you thnk that conviction and palliate as healing skills are enought ?
also use blade tempest instead of viper fang , will i get more damage?

VF will do a bit more than BT, but not much more. Ur main attack after putting up Shredded (w/ either combo) is to use Dragon's Claw, so it shouldn't matter much anyways.

R3 of EotS increases its dps and the shield amount. The latter is why I took it over the BBtV adv (though that adv can do more dps if enemies are hitting you frequently). Up to you which to take.

As far as adding more healing skills and/or an AO, etc.: they're good choices, sure, but ya have to make room in the build for them by dropping a power or two. Again up to you what to prioritize.
