Showing online when I am not.

What might be causing one of my friends to see one of my characters online in "Champions Online", rather than in a zone, when I am offline? When I come online really it changes to the character I am actually playing, then when I leave it switches back, or acts normal for short time then switches back. Also the character it is doing it is on test server and seems to have started after I went to PTS recently, is this a common problem?
