As title says. This would allow the opportunity for silvers who are unable to unwilling to purchase a subscription to get the ability to change their power colors like the golds.
I'm wondering how something like this would be implemented, given how the power coloring system works.
1. They allow you to buy a token that permanently unlocks power coloring for 1 FF slot. Expect it to be expensive. Moderate amount of work to implement. 2. They allow you to buy a token that permanently unlocks power coloring account-wide. Expect it to be even more expensive. Probably the least work to implement. 3. They allow you to buy a token that opens up your powers window with the power coloring options enabled - once you close the window you'll have to buy another token to recolor your powers. This option would likely be cheap. Probably the most work to implement. 4. They allow you to buy a token - when you use the token it lets you pick a single color, and all your colors become that color. This option would likely be cheap. Probably a fair amount of work to implement.
Its a power costumization system which allows you to make powers, fire from different parts of your body (Head, Chest, Hands, Palms)

Propably because the Majority of Gold/Lifetimers don't even use it

Enabling tinting for non-subbed players, won't make less income from subs, because people, who already run subbed accounts will have recreate their toon on Silver FF slots from the scratch (that means grind and they're expensive, and also if tinting will cost extra money...). Opposite action (convert gold to silver is impossible, isn't it?) Thus continue pay or buy LTS is easier to them anyway. But OTOH tinting service means extra Zen (or Questionite, etc) output channel from game, and since Zen's someone's real money, stands overall profit. And also since subbed sometimes run Epic Lairs and other content with players, some of which may be Silver, they have to see their default colors, which isn't always match well, thus worsens their gameplay too. From my conversations l now know, that some persons with green name think tinting shouldn't be "Sacred Cow" too, for instance @carrionbaggage thinks that.
Because the animations for the vast majority of powers are terrible when using anything but the default emanation point...
This reminds me of seeing people using Gravity Driver on the Chest Emanation Point
The result is... ehm... really interesting... and awkward

Another option would be to sell "tints" as devices or unlocks. For example, as a Silver you could buy a 'red' tint that would tint all your powers red. Or a Blue one.. and so on. They could drop from certain rare mobs or be sold outright for Zen. It wouldn't be the same amount of freedom that FF's enjoy, but it would be another reason for Silver players to spend money.
Some people don't like being locked into a sub. Or don't like losing access to their FF's after a sub ends. I know of players who would rather buy a FF slot (or AT) outright, then pay a monthly sub. When I stopped being gold, I purchased several AT's with real money. I would probably also purchase a pre-made power tint or the ability to tint a power.

I disagree. I use chest for that power, and for several others. It depends quite a bit on your toon's costume/shape/etc.
People like different things, too. I use a lot of alternate animations simply because I like that little bit more variety for the dozens of toons I have.
Never seen that and don't think so, but for one of my toons would be nice to attach Chest Beam to left hand emanation point! l'm gonna use that as debuff for Pulse Beam Rifle. But that's probably impossible ATM, PA doesn't seem have them adjustable, especially for Silvers.
Another point of Zen application is Travel Powers, which aren't tintable for Silver FF, and thus are rarely considered by Silver players as something to buy. Gold players, on the other hand, receive them by default. This is pretty bad design, lMO, it's same as Z-Store costume pieces were only of their default color, and only subbed players could change them (for instance Psionic Dragon pieces - pink only, Holoforce - blue only and so on). When gold players would receive many costumes by default. Who would buy them at all if things were going that route? Same as for Auras. One of my characters would like to use Power Flight TP, because of radiation theme, but default color of it is orange, and being unable to change it SO resembles me orange Atomic from DCUO... Ehhh... Why should both games have same issue? It's kinda fun, but l'm not laughing! Non-tintable powers are OK for ArcheTypes. They've single theme, thus single color. Travel Powers on them are often have adjusted color too, to better match to them (e.g. purple on Grimoire, pink on Mind, green on Scourge, blue on Tempest). Inability to change colors is originated from times, when Silver players were restricted to play AT only. But on FF, which are able to grab powers from different pools, and that's what makes them rock... Having hodgepodge of defaults looks like meh in many cases.

Each to his own, but I would never use Chest slot for this power!
Humping the air to cast a spell.... hmmmm

IKR... so wrong... I only use chest emenation for 2 powers across 2 characters... Wind Lash on my dragon since it looks like a gust of wind from her wings, and Lightning Arc on Blastwave since it discharges from the core on her JOLT suit...
