Once again, I find myself needing to apologize for my own ignorance, and the failure of my google-fu to find an answer (what is with google and this game? It can't find anything of substance).
I'm a newbie playing a level 25 Unleashed, and I can't help but notice a lot of people walking around with 10k+ health. Initially, I assumed it was the result of freeform builds, but when I've asked about it, I've been told that people achieve this not through builds, but primarily through items that give lots of +hp or +Con.
This kind of throws me for a loop, because I've never seen an item that offered more than +20 Con or +250 hp (and then only when it came at the expense of something I needed, like more Dex or Str).
Now, obviously, as I get closer to level 40 I'll find better and better gear. But given the way that equipment has scaled so far, I find it hard to believe that when I hit 40 I'll be getting drops that give me enough +Con and +HP to get me the +4000 or so I'll likely need to hit that magic 10k.
So, I guess what I'm asking is, what gear are people finding to get such absurd amounts of health, and how do I get it (once I hit 40, of course)?

Justice Gear actually has less HP (~550) on it's defense piece than heroics, but you get four mod slots instead of three. Onslaught secondary defense gloves give the same HP as Justice primary defense.
In general, I'm willing to bet many people just use Con as a secondary stat and probably pair it with strength primary super stat. Juggernaut encourages Con stacking out the wazoo because it gives amazing defense; better than any of the other primary super stat defense options. Ego Surge with nimble mind also encourages Con stacking since you get oodles of crit chance based on how much Con you have.

My main toon is Int primary, Ego/Pres secondary super stats, but uses Aura of Primal Majesty (AoPM). The Int spec tree also provides more health because of a spec that raises the bonus provided by all non-superstats, and Int mastery raises all non-superstats--both of these include Con (not a SS for me).
Combined with several Con mods, he has 11K health in hybrid mode, and about 10K in support role.
It is also possible to raise health with Endurance primary spec tree.
Finally, the Vigilante utility piece (secondary), Bolstering Eyepiece, also gives +300 health.
