Self-Rez for Archetypes

With last update they did double nerf already underpowered AT. First they took out Servitor Serum from SCR vendor, then made Heroic Recoveries, those are granted through leveling temporary. Did they deserve it? Is even comparable cost of Rebirth/Circle for FF and Zen - i.e. someone's real money for Heroic Recoveries.
Thus l think every single AT should receive Heroic Recovery Permanent Device (get back to the fight pronto) with 5 min cooldown. That will be bound and cost nothing. Freeforms wouldn't get that option - Archetypes only. Freeforms already have their own options for Rez, survivability, aggro management.
Also would be neat to have some device, that would agro wipe from yourself, perhaps put it to Drifter/Questionite/SCR store, because they often overaggro Tanks, thanks to absence of Diminishing Returns & couldn't wipe that threat. Not to mention about survive it.

Or make an "interact to revive" prompt that's baseline for every character, a la GW2, that enables a player to revive a downed teammate. Encourages teamwork and adds some parity between ATs and Freeform. And self-rezzes aren't nearly as important in solo situations.

i would like to take the time to point out that both star trek online and neverwinter online BOTH already have these options (though, in STO's case, it's actually an ability, but one that all characters get at the start of the game regardless of class), and since both the above games use the exact same base game engine that CO uses, there's no reason this can't be added (other than however much time may be needed to backport the relevant code, which could actually take a good deal of it)

personally, i would prefer using something like neverwinter's revive mechanic - you have 10 seconds to revive a downed player just through interacting; after that, the only thing that will work is a resurrection power or the player in question respawning

this way, you get the best of both worlds: you don't need to pray when you join a PUG that someone has a rez other power and rez powers aren't rendered utterly redundant, and therefore useless

That would be amazing for teams without healers, but then you take ally rez out of the game, and dedicated healers..really won't be affected too much, actually.
Buffing everything to stupid high levels and nerfing everything to piss poor levels yields the same results, but not the same community reactions.

Yeah, as a primarily-healer player (at least in group content), I wouldn't be upset at all about dedicated rez powers not being "needed". They sit around on your bar taking up space and doing absolutely nothing useful until someone dies.

They're the most situational class of power in the game, and they don't have any interesting interactions with anything.

On the Freeform side, it's basically just a power tax you pay to allow your teammates the luxury of making mistakes. And there are far more interesting/engaging/useful ways of paying a power slot to let your teammates get away with stuff.

On the AT side, the sharply-limited access to revives just furthers the gap in power between Freeforms and ATs without adding compelling gameplay or meaningful team variety (TL; DR: your healer needs to be a Radiant because Inventor can't heal their way out of a paper bag even now that they have Rez Serum as an option). And doubly screws over The Mind, who otherwise would be a half-decent Support character even on Freeform teams.

Specific Rez powers that eat up a power slot are a bad idea all-around and have been since launch. If they still want people to take them, have them restore more HP than the interaction rez or give a buff on revival or something, but make them a power choice on Support ATs.

I only briefly played Neverwinter and I haven't played STO, but it's nice to know the Cryptic engine can handle similar things.
