Release Notes for FC.31.20151210a.34
This build is available on PTS as of 2/17/2016

Teleios Ascendant
- Adjusted the timing on Gravitar's bubbles to better sync up with the charge bar.
- Medusa's Psibombs should no longer be affected by damage.

Other Changes
- Crate of Water Balloons can no longer stack and are now bind on equip. Existing stacks of them can be split up and will not be bound to you even if you have them equiped. They will bind to you if you remove the item and re-equip it.
- Empowered Dragon Staff is now Bind on Equip. Existing versions of them will not be bound to you even if you have them equiped. They will bind to you if you remove the item and re-equip it.
- Demonic Flesh Graft and Force Shield Belt won't have their values lowered when players are in support role.
- Fixed a bug where Necrulitic Elixirwas being buffed by support role.
- Fixed a bug where Psionic Accelerator was dealing full damage and its hold on tap. The device now requires a full second charge to use. Fixed a bug with Psionic Accelerator's fx that displayed a schtick tell above the players head.
- Adjusted the sell value of recognition devices so they all sell for the same price.
- Added Steelhead Reinforcement devices to the UNTIL recognition vendor.
- Added Qularr Mutagen to the UTIL recognition vendor.
- Updated Telepathic Reverberation's tooltip to state that it scales off of Presence. This is just a tooltip change.
- Added level 38 potions to the SCR vendor.
- Renamed gear boxes in recognition vendor to be more clear on what they do. Added r3 and 4 mods to MCPD vendor.
- Added purple secondary gear to the Silver Champion Recognition Vendor. This is gear normally found from high level mobs.
- Fixed a bug where Ascelpial Serum's heal could crit.
- Changed Clinging Flames fx to be less resource intensive. Updated large bosses to not display Clinging Flames FX.
- Added firesnake and pulse beam rifle fx to the list of removed fx from large bosses.
- Renamed the Set Gear store to heirloom Gear at the Gold Recognition vendor. Added Superconductor Back to the UNTIL recognition vendor.
- Fixed a bug where one of the potions sold at the hero games vendor wasn't stacking to 10.
- Made it so you cannot buy action figures from recognition vendors if you already own them. Corrected Action Figure #139 Mechanon Spider number to 141.

    I tested

    *Nerculitic
    *level 38 consumables
    *Purple secondaries in store
    *Psionic Accelerator

    All seem to work as planned.


    Aggro is still messed up on Grond Clone in TA.
    Grond Clone's atomic fire puddles still do up to 20K damage per tick.

    Thank you for fixing Gravitar's bubbles and Medusa's Psionic Bombs. Going to see if I can't test it now.

    Question...can you make her psionic bombs more responsive or spawn at ground level constantly? Sometimes I've had to jump for them and other times you run into a bomb and collect it but it still remains.

    I tested
    Aggro is still messed up on Grond Clone in TA.
    Grond Clone's atomic fire puddles still do up to 20K damage per tick.

    Grond Clone either needs to have his aggro sorted out. As for his spit pools? The damage they deal should be a pet which deals constant damage for a set amount of time, they should not still attack players who are outside their VFX.

    Also ONE of the following would be great:

    - A considerably lengthier recharge time on those spit pools, so he uses them less frequently.
    - Removal of NTTG mechanics in that room.
    - Reduction of the frankly silly damage that each pool is putting out. (I'd make more sense for them to do the current level of damage if he used it rarely and it was telegraphed like Gravitar's stuff.)

    I'd also argue that the knock strength on the Grondlings needs to be toned down by quite a bit, because not everyone is a tank or uses characters that stat STR or have some form of high knock resistance.

    And yes. I have been knocked wildly through sustained blocking.

    I can say that, for me, having the individual purple secondaries on a vendor is especially welcome. Right now, I have several characters' banks dedicated to hoarding them so that I'll always have one with the stats that I want when I get a new alt to 40, but after this change I can just run to the vendor and pick whichever ones I happen to need.

    BTW, any reason this can't crit? Ancient legacy trait (where once upon a time, not everyone had crit)? Far as I know, most damage devices can. If it's not overly compelling why, maybe remove that restriction.

    The latter is not a bug. I'm not convinced the former is a bug, I haven't seen anything that can't be accounted for by "the tank is having trouble building threat because Grond is sitting in a puddle of fire", but it might be something worth some adjustment (the easy solution is more damage resistance and lower base HP, as damage resistance doesn't affect threat from +threat effects).

    Since you are fixing Empowered Dragon Staff, can the cooldown for it be significantly reduced? Its a rare enough device and it doesn't need its cooldown lower than a minute.​​

    Ouch!
    So this was a bug? l thought you made it tap power intentionally, this way it's much more useful. And even was gonna suggest to take out charge from that. Btw.: Psionic Accelerator FS/SR never crits! Now what for me to use as damage spike, since Strafing Run nerf? lce Grenades? They're good for theme but they have horrid delay. Take it away plz.

    I will have to check that out, but I've learned to be wary of anything that seems to help PFF lol.

    So this was a bug? l thought you made it tap power intentionally, this way it's much more useful. And even was gonna suggest to take out charge from that.     Yeah, Psionic Accelerator was never intended to be full hold and dmg on tap, that just made it overpowered in some aspects. It was always meant to be a charge, so Im glad its back to normal.

    It's lack of crit reduced that 'overpoweredness'. A it has now become...I dunno, is it even worth it? Crit going back in would help.

    If it was a single target ability, I could see an issue with this change, but it's AoE.

    It was even nerfed from 10 targets to 5. On the builds I use Psionic Accelerator on, I still find it quite useful on LIVE (and I always full charge it, despite the lack of fix on LIVE).

    If it was being used as an alpha strike of sorts...there are other abilities which could be used in it's place on an actual build and can actually crit.

    Having said this, now that it has been fixed...I am not sure why it is not allowed to benefit from critical strikes.

    Psionic Accelerator also stuns and draws aggro from just about all mobs hit by it. Still a great device.

    I actually tested it..and all I can say is, it would be a boon if it actually healed the PFF instead of just increasing it's maximum shield amount...in other words it does the same thing that the onslaught defender gloves do, increase how much sheild the PFF has, without bolstering how much it regens..or healing it in any way.

    Well, at the price of: 1 SCR per device and it has a 1 minute and 28 second CD (at least for me)....I suppose 4.3k shielding is meant to last a lot longer than it actually does? :trollface:

    No but in all seriousness, it really is no different to OS gloves of Defender or Protection Field or MR.

    Having said this, it's a great device for non PFF users.

    I don't mean to come off in a bad way, because I am very glad this particular device has made a comeback in CO.

    I just wish PFF itself was addressed but I'm sure that'll come in time.

    In other news, I am VERY grateful that you guys decided to put individual purple secondary gear in SCR store. However, I'm a bit miffed I blew 400 SCR in the past few days trying to get something which is now in the SCR store lol.

    Perhaps think about selling SCR packets through the Drifter Store? :wink:

    Yeah, due to layering with PFF it'll absorb damage first and PFF will take damage after it has dissipated. So technically it's a much better Protection Field (if you aren't using Compassion).

    There's nothing wrong with that, I'm sure I'll find use for it in some way if I need it.

    that's the non combat prinicble, in combat, you pop it, your sheild gets buffed up...but if your sheild drops below your normal max, when the pill wears off, the amount of shiled % missing stays consistaint... and you effectivally end up with less sheild.

    if the pill actually restored PFF strength, it would go from good consumable to must-have consumable

    I gotcha.

    Still, 20% loss from, say 10,000, then going to 20% loss of 6000, is still a net benefit.

    Your PFF probably regenerated while the shield was up. It's always been a protection field pill, even when it was a craftable device from Science.

    Guess PFF users should keep stocking up on Boost Enhancers. Defensive and Energy boosts heal PFF still.
