NPC Exclusive Power for Players - PSI Agent's PUNCH THE GROUND attack - it Might Benefit the MIGHT

While playing with my MIGHT DPS character, I realized how much I dislike the Might framework for the LACK of AoEs attacks
NO i won't use Roomsweeper or Havoc Stomp, one thing I hate is powers which Knock my enemies to Stratosphere and my OUT of my Melee Range (that goes to you too Force Cascade users)

I realized one currently-exlusive power which WOULD Fit his theme and be used for AOE Crowd Control damage
The attack is basically PUNCH THE GROUND

and before you say it, no Brimstone with Imaginary weapons is not the same, just LOOK at this Animation:

Attack used by PSI Agent - the attacks is Tagged as Unknown Ability in the Battle Log
This power also apply STUN and its really annoying during Alerts (it could also penetrate the players' block)
Suggestion: Make this Power available for Players
Battle Suggestions: I would take Brimstone (Heavy Weapons) and Havoc Stomp (Might) as Reference for this power
Power's Name: Work in Progress, could be called Mighty Punch, Ground Punch, Punch of Something-something I leave the Naming on the team
  • Charged Point Blank AoE
  • Area of Effect: 10-15 foot sphere
  • Affects Foes: 5 max
  • Possible Debuffs: Disoriented, Root, Stagger (Stagger is still Relevant!?)
  • Knocks DOWN the enemies (since Might is using Knocks for Enraged)
  • Deals Crushing Damage (or x2 Crushing Damage and Sonic or Slashing Damage if its made as Brimstone, no idea why SONIC is so related to the Might but oh well, Sonic damage should have its OWN powerframe)
  • Stat Scaling: Melee Strength scaling (and Martial Art Melee Forms)
  • ADVANTAGE - On Fully Charge this power STUNS all the enemies (the scale of the stuns scale with SPECs, PRE and Manipualtor
  • ADVANTAGE - Challenging Strikes
  • ADVANTAGE - Accelerated Metabolism
  • ADVANTAGE some other unique advantage to give this power synergy with other powerframes
  • ISSUES: seems like this power cause Debris and doesn't scale with the Debris Slider Option! Friendly Reminder to the Devs that EARTH powerframe is LAG SPIKE MACHINE


Its really unique power and I would like to use it!

    IIRC, this attack used to be called PSI_GroundPound or something crazy like that.

    It would be very nice to have this ability, minus the innate block breaking effect (a stun would work in it's place as you said). The stun however should not scale with Manipulator, no stun should IMO.

    I'd make an advantage on the power called "Shatter The Ground" which turns the knockdown effect into a knock up and back.

    Actually...I'd make the innate knock of this power an AoE Knockback and have an advantage which applies "Hindered Movement" or a "Snare" to all affected enemies.

    Stuns are part of Might (see Thunderclap) and if it couldn't scale with Manipulator, then whats the bloody point for Manipulator to exist?

    I would prefer to keep the Innate knock of the power as AoE Knockdown, not knockback, the game would benefit with more Knockdown powers​​

    Manipulator is there to increase hold magnitude.

    Whilst stuns are technically a form of hold, they were never designed to last as long as they currently do on LIVE, that much is evident when looking at how stuns work.

    But that would be something to address in a Crowd Control Mechanic pass (which I've already outlined on PTS thread)

    The Green visual aura from the attack gives a hint that this was related to Radiation or something?

    Besides truth be told, this is an aspect of the game I never bothered to Specialize
    I actually think that animation would be perfect as an animation replacement option for Unleashed Rage.

    would be nice to have the animation available for Emanation points... Despite the fact I cannot use Emanation points because I play as Silver FF >_>

    But mostly want to see this as an Unique attack for Might!​​

    /signed for great justice. A decent damage melee AoE knock power that doesn't require a second power to be useful in team content (Roomsweeper) or require you to use chains (Iron Cyclone) would be nice.

    Mind you, I love both aforementioned powers. I just would like to use something else occasionally.

    Seismic Smash
    Creator Fist
    Disrupter Fist
    Mighty Crash
    Meteor Crush
    Quake

    Advantage names could be these:
    Lb for Pounds
    Starry Gaze
    Why the dinosaurs ended

  • Seismic Slam is another good name​​
