The Delta Institute – A Roleplay Supergroup

To the public, the large glass building on the outskirts of Downtown Millennium City is one of the largest think tanks in the area: Housing great minds working on projects related to technology, medicine, and public affairs. New gadgets will sometimes be released to the public, or a new treatment to a rising ailment might be produced from the scientists working within.
Privately funded by an unknown entity, the public doesn’t seem to bat an eyelash at who could be running it, and what other things might be going on within it.

Who we are In Character

As you might guess, The Delta Institute’s affairs are greater than simple research and development, even though that is a part of their organization. Truthfully, the Institute exists as a group of scientists, heroes, mages, vigilantes, and everything in between who work with the Institute’s help to bring safety to Earth and its inhabitants, no matter the method.
This doesn’t make the Institute a villain group. They operate under the assumption that sometimes extreme measures are necessary to deal with extreme threats, even if the law might not agree with them. If they can operate under the law, they do, though.
For this reason, they employ a number of people, from the shadier assassin, to the straight up superhero. Scientists, doctors, and the like also work within to further their goals. It’s a large organization with a lot of resources. Possibilities are really endless in that sense.

Who we are Out of Character

The Delta Institute is a small group of roleplaying gamers who love to build character stories and plotlines, share them with others, and take them out into the game world. While we are indeed heavy roleplayers, you’re just as likely to find us out exploring the game, making builds that interest us, trying out character concepts, and then getting out into the world to run a dungeon or two with them.
The Institute exists as a backdrop of sorts: A preset place with resources, leaders, and tools to help pursue character storylines. This doesn’t mean that it’s free for all on what can be accessed or done. There is indeed a leadership structure. But we’re willing to accommodate most well thought out character concepts and storylines.
We respect real life schedules, and have no problem with alt characters, but we also like to give our Supergroup our 100%. Champions Online is our home MMO as leaders, and we want to make this Supergroup something great not just for other people, but our own enjoyment as well.
One thing to note is that while we like running serious plotlines, sure, but we don’t tend to gravitate toward angst-ridden stories/characters, or people who put IC over OOC Feelings. We’re all physical human beings behind the keyboard, and that’s how we like to play.
If you like to roleplay? And you like to play the game? The Delta Institute might be right for you.

Joining the SuperGroup

Joining the SG is easy. Just send one of the two guild leaders, @Panaxiom and @FullMoonRising, a message, and we’ll get some roleplay going. You’re also free to ask either of us any questions that you might have. If we like your concept, and we think you’d be a good fit, you’ll get an invitation.
Keep in mind that even though our initial recruitment process is short, we will be evaluating members after invitation. If drama is kept on the down-low, then we’ll be good to go long term.
