The Protectors of the World - The Barlowe Building

For RP purposes, much like the FF had the Baxter Building, the Protectors make use of the Barlowe Building as their headquarters... so it made sense to get a picture of it... and why not throw in a few heroes on the team for good measure?

    Very nice and such defining lines. Got to ask though, why is Thundrax in the shot? I get that he's an honourary member of several super groups at this point but it seems (at least to me) that he's taking up another team member's slot. I'm not kidding, it's a great piece, I'm just curious as to the why of it.

    Easy answer.

    He joined the Protectors in March 2013 as a founding member, stayed for a year and a half, left the team as part of an IC storyline for a time and a few months ago (after Thundrax returned from his 'death') returned to the team once more as an active, official member on the roster. Charter member. Not honorary.

    Even if he WAS just a honorary member, at the end of the day it is my money and my choice. And I highly doubt anyone on my team can bemoan not ever being in a team picture... maybe I should make a full on thread of them? :wink:

    I have a HUGE love of getting commissions, it might be impractical to a lot of people, but hey... its no worse than shopping for shoes, or spending a day at a casino, collecting movies or ensuring you have every book in a series you enjoy. So its something I've definitely kind of extended to my friends online here, especially the people who are in my SG. I think its awesome to see your MMO character fully realized as you might see in an actual comic book.

    Cool and thanks for the quick response. I see a lot of Thundrax art around, like the SAS banner, and was just curious as to his affiliation. I get the appeal of fan art, obviously, and think the majority of your pieces are pretty good.

    I actually lurk a lot of art threads, including yours over on the PoTW site.
