Allow Tinting of Energy Unlocks

maatmonsmaatmons Posts: 346 Arc User1
Many energy unlocks produce a glow when they give you energy. They all seem to be fixed to blue regardless of what hue you have set for the power though. Well, except Overdrive, which seems to go by the hue of whatever power triggers it.

I can understand that the glow from picking up an energy orb is always blue, because the orb itself is always blue. And the the energy orbs have to always be blue, because color is how you tell which one does what. But why can't I glow a different color when I give myself energy?

Umm....you relise you can tint them....right? on the power tint menu, if you scroll all the way to the bottom, they are right there, not sure if it tints every energy unlock (I hardly use em personally) but I know that for the few that I do use, you can tint em.

Are you sure you've seen an energy unlock abide by the hue you set for it? Because I've tested each one. I set a hue for it, and I do not get a visual effect of that hue.

The visuals for hunter's instinct, killer instinct, spirit reverberation, telepathic reverberation, and thermal reverberation are all a pale blue no matter what hue you set.

The visuals for molecular self-assembly and overdrive are the hue you set for the power that triggered them, instead of the hue you set for the energy unlock itself.

Ionic reverberation, supernatural power, and wind reverberation have no visual effect.

I can confirm that when some energy unlocks trigger I get a blue aura as opposed to the colors I set for my powers. I'm LTS. I know how to set my colors. The blue persists.

A lot of the energy unlocks are weird for me when it comes to tinting them. Some of them have been set to the color hue I set momentarily, only to go back to the default blue right away. Others stay the color hue I set until I retcon or something. I still don't know how to get all of them to stick.

I've never seen the glow you mention from any energy lock... however I have seen the Blue Sprites from Telepathic Reverb... which are ALWAYS blue... but TBH this doesn't strike me as a big deal... I mean they use the same sprites as Ego Sprites and the advantage on Ego Sprites causes Green Sprites to return to you when the healing component triggers and they are always green regardless of your power hue... so Telepathic Reverb returning Blue Sprites for energy all the time is fine to me...

though If all those EUs do have glowing aura's that I've just never noticed before... then it would be nice to have them abide by power hue for those auras...

Telepathic Reverberation is blue no matter what I do to the little color box next to it in my powers menu. I would much rather they be the color I tell them to be.

You know, now that I think about it, Killer Instinct is also always a blue tint..

I've actually seen Telepathic Reverberation colored differently out of sheer luck for a few attacks on target dummies, but as soon as I entered a different zone it returned to the original blue.

Telepathic Reverb's colour change only works vs other players. So in a duel you'll see Telepathic Reverberation change to green, red, orange etc.

On NPCs the energy unlock stays blue. I'm pretty sure something is off there, because on the odd occasion vs SV's it changes colour.
