There were issues with the maintenance today that prevented information from flowing as we were trying to keep everyone updated on why the game was down. The blog eventually made its way out once we were able to ensure that the servers were stable. Plus we added double XP and glory to it.

So the Totality of Cryptic's Employees were all working on the issues with maintenance?
I find that hard to believe, but I will accept that between Taking pictures, Rolling Dice, and Posting to Twitter something couldn;t have been written and released.

In general, we'd prefer to communicate on things when they are available. There actually really isn't additional information on something like 2x refinement points other than reiterating that there is 2x refinement. Once these types of events are live, we'll also include the duration. There's still a general consensus that our players know what 2x RP, 2x XP, 2x Glory, etc are. If there is additional information that you'd like to see in advance, let me know and I can see what adjustments we can make.

I'd like to see someone proof read the blogs to be honest, they are well know for having misleading, incorrect, and sometimes contradictory information in them. They are not quite as bad as the in-game tool tips for neverwinter.

If more information was not needed to be Released then why include the fact that more information is forthcoming in the Blog? Is the Sole reason for that blurb to build excitement for something that has now become norm? More properly you could have announced the Zen Charge Bonus the night before it is not the first time it has come around. the Triple Double weekend was the surprise that was added as a marketing ploy to try and get the players to forget the 12 hour Down time and was not the Original Surprise. It is the little Evasions and inability to quantify what the actual Surprise was that irks me the most.

Understand on proofing side. We'll look to do better as a team. One point of clarification, I see this triple double weekend less as a marketing ploy and more as a make good for the game being down for so long. Once we had a better understanding of what was going on with the servers, we wanted to make sure we offered some type of make good for players who were waiting all day to play. I know the frustration personally of wanting to play something and not being able to.

When things go wrong with Neverwinter a double something get's added that is nothing new it is a Marketing ploy, albeit not one that is intended to monetize the game like the bonus Zen Promotion. I personally would like to see a previous CTA turned on as opposed to the triple double since it Adds something to do to the game.
Here is another small item of interest in the name of communication, Get someone to write up a blog about the missing Dungeons, they are still offered when you level up and the new players sit in zone trying to get groups for them and they are unable to do them. Kind of a big hole in the game for a new player. and kind of a giant hole in the game for those of us at the endgame who need more variety.
At the very least something short from a person working on the (hopefully someone is working on them).

I'll take the CTA idea back to the team. I have heard discussions of the dungeons, but don't have all the details. Let me see what we can pull together. Appreciate the back and forth!

I appreciate you taking the time to banter back and forth with me. Little things like this in a more open setting ( yes I know the amount of whining, crying, and threatening posts that would appear) such as an open thread on the forums would go a long way to Appeasing the pitchfork carrying crowd.
Things like a thread on the forums are what people were hoping for when we were "promised"(not a good word but I can't find a better one right now) more communication. I think the Vocal Group on the forums was Thinking more of a two way communication bit, maybe even a bit of lively debate.
Ohh Speaking of that can we have a debate on the forum rules and the moderators differing interpretations of them? Like a Neverwinter Community Debate on the forums about the forums?

update has changed to add 2 more hours.... very awesome game i play everyday and I am anxious to play today .... recent updates have made it harder to be a guardian fighter but challenging is good I have no problem with that the 1 and only thing that I do not like in this game is the astral diamond refining limit. I think it should be lifted to have no limit. I mean if you put forth the time skill and effort into earning them you should be able to immediately use them because it is already very time consuming process.

That's strange. It was supposed to be stickied. I put it back up, but I'll keep an eye on it.
