Really hoping this is an error that will get fixed and not intentional. I was so glad when they added in the advanced search function, but limiting it to 10 results kind of renders it a bit pointless.

Yeah you didn't, it's why so many of us were telling people to use the vanillaforums link in the first few days of the forum migration. It's the embedding that breaks the placement on page switch because the embedding script doesn't get refreshed on a page change so it doesn't change your displayed position on the page.…

The search function appears to have been silently updated today, you can now specify the searches by title, author, category, type of post (discussion, poll etc), and date ranges. Just a heads up for Devs, there seems to be a strange bug some of us have noticed. For some reason when you delete or move posts out of a thread, it seems that it no longer shows as having any new posts, even if it does, until the thread has reached it's previous number of posts before posts were removed.

Oh that is weird. It might be a Firefox thing then as I have several posts with important information bookmarked in Chrome and going to them always takes me to the comment I clicked on before bookmarking rather than the latest post. I'll have to go play around in Firefox and see if there's a workaround.

If you click on the time the post was made under the persons avatar, it takes you to that comment (not quite like vB where you got it on it's own, but it does still take you to that post in the thread). Then you just hit bookmark.

When you inspect the element, you can see somebody has decided it was a good idea to add _blank to the end of URLs, which forces a new tab/window when clicked. BBCode uses different parsing so it isn't affected by it. *Note to self* put all links in BBCode tags from now on...

Be aware that the hiding of boards is a little, bizarre. If the Devs change the name of the board or it's position in the category listing then it becomes unhidden again on the discussion page even though it still shows to you as hidden on the main page.
