I think there is a misunderstanding here. I never claimed to be a lawyer or law expert. I was simply trying to provide information regarding U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit rulings, as they related to this topic. That isn't something that I just made up, since "this is the internet and anyone can claim to be…
They set a precedent for the price when they listed it at $100, thus setting a regular or ordinary price. Changing their prices isn't the issue here. If the item was listed at $100 and then changed to $75, without any sale involved, there would be no real issue. Sure some people may not like it, but it's not illegal.…
I know this is not a case of bait and switch. There was a price change. It was listed as $100, being on sale for $75. They did change the price from $100 to $75 after the sale ended. To change the base price after the sale means there wasn't really a sale to begin with. To me that is not being honest with your customers.
Is it legal to advertise something at a limited time sale price, then change the original price after the sale period ends? I'm asking this because I honestly do not know the answer.
The problem I see with this is when you make retroactive changes, without warning, to items that are sold on the cash shop you destroy trust with the consumer. What's to prevent the next time a customer buys an item from the cash shop it retroactively changes without warning? I know I won't be buying from the cash shop…
I assume there won't be any free respecs this time as well. *snip* Removed nonconstructive comments. Edit: My constructive criticism would be this; I'm not in favor of hurting PvE in order to balance for PvP. This just doesn't work.
This daily quest for the event is really bad. If you don't know already, you have to wait for a chest to spawn, and it's a single use clickie. The wait time in between is pretty long. When I first went to the location I saw several people waiting around and I asked what the deal was. I was told they were waiting on the…
You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. This was stated in regards to how the player base should provide feedback. PWE would do well to take this advice for themselves.
Yeah I play with the gateway up. Most people I know do as well. I could see the point of the starter artifact angle if not for being able to sell using the gateway.
There most likely will not be any sale until this Thursday, when they take the server down and release the "new" weekly sale. Why has there been no sale since last week? My guess is because the exchange is so high. Though it would be nice if questions like these were addressed by PWE.
Wow, so not retroactive? I know many players bought zen just a few days/weeks ago because of the exchange skyrocketing. Now they're not eligible for this promotion and there's no free respec. $$$ Well played PWE $$$
At this time I do not have a respec on my HR. I checked yesterday after Mod 3 was released and checked again today after the update to Mod 3. As for some saying they received a respec and some didn't, again this could be easily handled if PWE would just address it.
I've been very critical of PWE/Cryptic, but this is one event that they knocked out of the park. I honestly think this is the most original thing I've seen from Cryptic in a long time. I love this event and wish it wasn't so short. I really hope it returns soon and often. Great job guys!
I agree with all the above. As a business owner I do not understand the attitude of telling your customers to take a walk if they have negative feedback. I would be out of business if I discouraged criticism from my customers and distributors.
Honestly, what do you guys want HRs to be? Maybe there's a disconnect between the players and devs, because HRs are trying to play in a role that isn't what's intended.
Thanks, had no idea. Guess I should read up on the Sword Coast Adventures. Update: "Neverwinter Gateway is currently unavailable due to heavy load. Please try again later." Apparently everyone else is trying this too.
