I don't wanna sound like a doombringer, but in my opinion Cryptic gave up on making the game better and instead chose to try to milk whoever's left. They may have shifted their attention to newer games.
Well, at this point, you could try to keep playing the game for fun (your main activity will probably be daily quests of shrandar, dread ring and dragons, you decide if they're fun) if you intend to play competitively or at least to be on par with others on both PvP and PvE, I suggest that you open a paypal account and…
Wasn't this obvious though? I mean, the only way to "progress" in this game is farm/pay & improve gear. It's not like there are any special PvP or PvE modes that require thought and challenge. So of course the new mod will be about doing the same thing you've been doing for months now: farm/pay & improve gear. Artifact…
I like the time and effort you put into this post, it is also great that you added suggestions. Anyway, to your point, you said that Dungeons are easier and because of that it is now easier for new players than it was back then. Yes, dungeons are easier. It's not even that difficult to get a T2 set (though you feel like a…
When you do sample testings it doesn't really mean anything. A 50% critical chance means that if you strike a target two times, the case of getting 1 crit and 1 non-crit strike has the highest probability. If you really want to test it, try to see if there's a software or a tool that can gather information from the combat…
The problem is that the new content isn't really enjoyable. 90% of the content is just daily quests for making your character stronger, and the 10% has a new skirmish or dungeon that aren't too unique by design. When the game offers you an opportunity to pay a certain fee to actually avoid content, and many players find…
I keep hearing things like "You can do everything in this game without spending a single dollar". Some guys say "I didn't spend a dollar on this game and I'm successful with high gear", and because they did it anybody can. But the only population of people that is successful without spending money - is made of people who…
I agree with your post completely, and the fact that you consider yourself a "Mini-Orca" and not a whale - even though you spent 9000 Zen at once - or 4,500,000 AD - Or 90$ - you probably really are not the biggest whale out there, and that's the issue of this game. 4,500,000 AD in this game, with 0$ involved, will take…
You don't really need Glyphs to do dailies. You need survivability. I know you said you won't be doing group activities but you should really do dungeons. The Draconic set as a whole isn't good and no TR is using it. If you do dungeons you could fetch a free armor set, and you won't need to feed your armor with…
You make a very important point. Stealth is our core mechanism in our PvE survival. The fact At-Wills now deplete Stealth, in one Duelist Flurry we'll be exposed. Stealth takes long to re-fill, and even with Tenacious Concealment it's hard to re-gain it when under attack. Boosting Blitz and PoTB doesn't really matter if…
What is up with the mods in this forum? There were two comments before this comment that supported my opinion and were deleted, and the opposite opinion comment is put upfront? Learn to take criticism, come on...
First Strike: Damage bonus increased to 33% per rank (up from 5% per rank). - Oh oh... 100% damage on first strike? I feel a Burst coming... Lashing Blade: Stealth: Now strikes with 50% increased Critical Severity. - Path of the Blade: Damage reduced by roughly 20%. -Kind of disappointing, I used it on my PvP TR as a…
Hard to say, we'll have to see the feats of every tree before we can decide. Even though I'm currently an executioner TR who uses a Vorpal enchantment, I think I'll go with the CC tree. This is because I think the Spike tree and it's play style will correspond directly to how high your GS is, while CC might require…
First, if you don't encourage people to PvP, you will isolate the PvP community from everyone else. If you leave only the "true hardcore PvPers", other than some core members who will eventually leave, no one would want to join. Second, this is the business model. Gear based and not skill based. 99% of the time, kill or…
Sparkling is kinda cartoonish. I like the Volcanic one, but I've missed them. I'm using Sinister Rapier and Nightmare Dagger skins atm, I think they both look nice, especially the Nightmare Dagger :)
I haven't tested it, but on my TR I could probably outrun some mounts - 50% from horn, 30% from sneak attack, 15% from skillful infiltrator, and possible 10% if I send a dagger at anything - Total 105% :D
Eh, they probably said the same thing about T2 sets when the profound sets came out. I think the Dragon Glyphs (which are sadly here to stay) mark the death of the profound sets, at least on PvP.
First I'd like to thank you for respecting my opinion and the discussion by quoting my post as "wall of useless text". So much for an intelligent discussion (Ironic how you keep talking about "using brain"). Second, please tell me how a new player makes 100k in 2 hours. What is this "using their brain" you keep mentioning?…
Your post is so wrong in my opinion and I'm going to break it down and tell you why I think it's wrong. I started playing Neverwinter before the Hunter Ranger class and Dread Ring were introduced, but Sharandar was around. I think it's pre-Mod 2? So we can talk "beginnings". After a few months I took a break from the game…
I think it'll happen because this is the direction this game has been taking for a long time. And we can deny it all we want, but this game is a lot more gear based than skill based. Sure, you could spend time thinking about powers and synergy all you want, but the "common" build with high gear should probably grant you…
Look at the image, and then read the description. Tank: "Neverwinter is under siege! I must get ready and put my shield up to protect the city and it's citizens!" Tank: "Hey, guys... Where are our enemies?" Red-Silvery warrior: "...And then this dragon came every 20 minutes, but the adventurers had no problem with it. We…
