The first time I did this fight I thought that there was some kind of gimmick or trick that we were missing because it took an insanely long time to wear him down. His HP is way out of tune with everything else that level.
That's how I felt about the fight too. It was more tedious than anything. Just wave after wave after wave of trash. It got old pretty fast. And like you said, I honestly don't know what the dragon actually does. 99% of my attention of elsewhere.
I'm curious. So GFs out-AoE GWFs, out-DPS Rogues and out-heal clerics? All at the same time? This is either the most horribly broken and imbalanced class in the history of MMOs or people are padding their numbers/flat-out exaggerating.
As opposed to losing out on an upgrade because some clown wants to auction it off or vendor it? Yeah. That's the whole point of a "need or greed" system anyway right? The people who can actually use the gear getting priority over those who are just going to sell it? There's plenty of ways to make money without <font…
Supposedly it gets better as you go on, though I'm having trouble wading through the GWF's horribly unfun early levels long enough to find out for myself. Why an AoE class is saddled with a bunch of weak single-target abilities early on is beyond me.
It's been mentioned before but some of you are ignoring how uninformative some of the ability descriptions are. I'm looking through some of the skills I have available and too often I get vague HAMSTER like, "restores guard meter", "heals you" "buffs your damage and defense". No numbers, no…
Maybe instead of squeezing people for Founder's Packs, they should've had a proper stress test. Who launches a MMO without seeing what their servers can handle? Cryptic's been in the game long enough to know better.
