The reason is that nowadays devs don't care about quality but about making shiny stuff that sells a lot of money for a little while and then move on. I know one that doesn't follow that pattern, and it's an indie game called Path of Exile, if you wanna see quality, go there.
You are absolutely right, they play dirty. Other's may say otherwise, and I gave up on trying to convince them because as that old saying says: The worst blind is the one who doesn't want to see. :p
All we have is the hope for it to get better, but thats never going to happen; anyways, the day when the first module gets released will be the day I will move on and stop browsing the forums, unless that they prove me wrong. Also, to those who enjoy it because of the foundry; don't you understand that in long term all…
I agree with the most. NW is not so coercive as other games, but it is not transparent. I know a lot of people who regret from buying the Heroes and Guardians Pack. The whole point is that all this F2P industry exploit the lack of will of young people who don't really know how hard is to earn money.
Right... Anyways, if you are intrested on whats behind, read this article; it's from someone that actually works on game development, and I find it very intresting. ;)
To all those who are going to pay for that HAMSTER; think again, or just think. There is no hope for this game; check Gamespot & IGN reviews (6.0 and 6.6, respectively).
After reading some of his articles I've realized that my ToC is pretty close to 0 and the fact that I have never paid in any F2P game actually makes me proud. :P Too bad this topic was moved from Gerenal to Off-Topic, I just hope that other people read his articles. Thanks OP. :) Forgot to mention that this game clearly…
I agree with you; and as you said many other games have shared diminishing returns for the same kind of CC. Others will say otherwise, they just have no idea, F2P are full of them. :p I don't know how it works in D&D 4e, but I really doubt that it'd be possible to stunlock anything/anyone to death. I'd really like to hear…
I like that idea, but also glory should be required to equip an item. That way players will not be able to equip items obtained PvPing if they do not have enough glory (pretty much like the ranking system it works in WoW). :p
You are right when you say that they try to control the economy to their favour but you are wrong about the purpose of the cap; if they'd remove the cap the AD would rapidly get devaluated, decreasing the the Zen:AD ratio.
The AD that comes from the AH is already circulating in the economy of the game so there is no reason to set a cap, because the cap is meant to reduce the impact of new AD that is added as currency in the economy of the game; think about it.
Just wait untill that they upgrade the foundry; currently, the more creative you get with the foundry (trying to bypass the boundries), the more bugs your quest will have.
The same items that you buy with glory can be bought with AD in this game. Anyways, that might work for casual players that do not really care about competing against others. Because believe it or not, if you do not use the AH, depending on the game, the odds will not be at your side when you compete against someone that…
