I'm just confused as how to level it up in the first place. It seems like you have to do the "experimentation" formula to get the "knowledge" papers. THEN you can do the "research" which is the only thing that gives XP. but doing the "experimentation" almost NEVER gives me those papers. am I doing it wrong?
That was the first place I looked, the Rewards Claim Agent. It just makes logical sense if the Event vendor is gone, that they'd add the special items to his inventory. It's funny the apologists and defenders of this happening. Who can even play at 9am? I was planning to buy stuff when I got home from work, and poof, he's…
I second the motion. I'm glad I'm not the only (OCD) player out there. I was in a group, just today, that leveled WHILE we were doing a dungeon (that really hard Dragon boss) wiped us and one guy quit. . . and then we all realized there was no way we could re-queue because we out-leveled it. and I've also missed…
let me get this straight.. your big plan to fly through content.... is to play with 2 Clerics and a group of Rogues? so, basically, play with 5 people? what a genius plan!
^ this. It's like playing a shooting game and everyone on your team quits, and the other team kills you - and then teabags your corpse. It's like, really? you're proud of your ability to 5 v 1 me, and then you have to brag about it? lol
erppman, I think you are playing with better skilled players, or players that know their roles. part of my point is that the Tank should NOT have the most kills.
I see what you did there.. :D deistik, that's pretty much what I think should happen. maybe we just need to tell DPS players to compete for kills, not highest damage. :D
again, I'm asking for discussion, but I think the Tank should be taking the most damage. Yes, he should be blocking/avoiding, but he ALSO should be absorbing the big boss hits, keeping the adds focused on him, etc. My point is, if the DPS were doing there jobs, and picking up their adds, they would get the most kills and…
I'm sort of concerned about this as well, but from the opposite direction. I'm assuming that later dungeons/skirmishes DO require team work, and I'll wonder how likely I'll get into a group of players that know what to do. When I see posts like "why can't my GWF tank?" I get worried. lol
I must have a different approach to MMOs, and video games in general. If I'm perfectly willing to pay $60 for a game like Tomb Raider or Bioshock, and then BEAT them in ~10 hours. I feel like I got my money's worth then, right? So why should I feel any different if I pay $60 for an MMO (I bought the guardian pack) and it…
I kind of see it both ways. On one hand, the dynamics of this game ARE different, and people need to adapt. don't be mad at the tank for not holding aggro, because he can't. On the other hand, it is a *little* ridiculous how the healer gets all the aggro and the DPS classes get none.
that seems to be the case for me. I tried downloading the game for my girlfriend, and the download was going nowhere. I couldn't log in on my PC, either, so I checked this forum and found the new .exe. I quit the download on my gf's PC, downloaded that new .exe, and it started downloading the entire client. Like a LOT…
for anyone that's looking at the last page instead of reading the updated first message, try fix #7 it worked for me. BUT don't try to replace the .exe in your folder. just run the new .exe directly after you download it, where ever it goes, and that should work.
I agree. Seasoned MMO players will understand this. I've tried so many different MMOs, but I usually have the patience/curiosity to try multiple classes that first day or two. I can't say how many times my opinion of an MMO drastically changed (for the better) AFTER I switched to a class that was so much more fun to play.…
that's what I thought. but the launcher is still ticking down 3 hours... edit: I see after posting this, that the forum thinks it is 7:15 am when it is actually 10:15 am (CST). maybe that has something to do with the launcher tracking the wrong time? should I be worried? edit 2: I went in to my forum settings (took some…
That's a tough question. If you don't care about the items, then, no? For me, I bought it because every character you make will get a 'free' mount and a 'free' companion. And you get 1 extra character slot. I don't even know what I'm going to spend my AD on. Maybe one of the rare companions. Personally, I wish they had…
yeah, too many other MMOs do that. I realize it's challenging to keep classes balanced for PvP AND PvE. but if they lose focus on one or the other, it becomes harder and harder to balance classes after the fact. that was one of the things I really liked about Warhammer Online, for example, the classes and abilities were…
I don't know how you guys feel, but for me, easy = boring. GF is pretty straightforward...and boring. and probably why there is a severe lack of GF. TR is about medium, easy to play, tricky to master but so much fun. The DC is growing on me BECAUSE it's a harder class to play. :D
