Not sure if trolling... I'd explain it, but I really don't think you'd be able to comprehend. Let me dumb it down: Beta = Expect bugs, follow up with reports, etc. Release = Minimal bugs, people have every right to be pissed off with issues. There's no "magic patch" It enter release when the game is stable enough.

I would say that only the DEVELOPERS of a game can say if it's beta or not, not the people who own them. You pretty much said it yourself, Cryptic is calling it open beta, and I'm pretty sure they are the ones working on it, so who can trump that?

I love how people bring this argument up. You're going to believe 1 tiny little icon, over the fact that OPEN BETA is plastered over everything else, and the fact that there hasn't been an official statement saying the game has been released. Some of the people today just astound me.

I understand the trust thing, but even I jumped into this knowing that even though they say there won't be a wipe, there's always a possibility since it's not a "released" game. Maybe that's not a common assumption, I can't speak for others. Yes, they would rather not wipe, but nobody can say for sure.

According to this small sample (assuming that it would be accurate), they'd lose roughly 30%. That's not exactly half. I also love how in almost every post you seem to think you speak directly for the community as a whole. I agree with rictras, redwaterx has one of the best responses in this thread.

Nice, resort to name calling. I would much rather have them work on the current issues and bugs, then to spend time adding a preview feature. I'm sure many would agree with me, too. I wear my gear because of stats, not looks.

You must not realize the effect it has on the economy. It's more like saying, "Hey, that guy figured out how to make pure gold from water. Wow, all that time I was mining for it, now the market is inflated with it and it makes my gold pretty worthless since it's so common."

I'd be all for it, the exploit clearly affected the economy. Seriously if people want to complain about losing 2 weeks worth of progress, let them leave. I'd rather play in a stable environment and have it count, rather than a corrupt and screwed economy.
