It is my understanding that once your vip expires you keep your rank, it just becomes inactive until you renew. Then you start back at your last highest rank.

I'm going to try out both the app second screen and keyboard solutions tomorrow. The controller chat is just so slow!

Sadly, trying to use the lfg channel when actually lfg doesn't always work. I think there are too many mmo noobs that don't know the lingo or accepted methodology. I try to educate, but fear it's a wasted effort.
