• Yep, and when they do release Ranger it's a good bet the class will only be able to shoot a bow and do nothing else. I'm sure that's in 4E rules just like a Fighter can only use a great sword and nothing else.
• You put as a negative: "End game consists mostly of 5 man dungeons instead of raids," I disagree. This is a positive. Dungeons and Dragons optimal group sizes are around 4-5 people. Online video games are rapidly becoming the norm and I know many people who really don't want to play with 10 or more people at a time in…
• Not on everything. I just duplicated several floor tiles. The Y value changed. I'm on flat ground & have tried all the different "Y relative to" settings. Duplicate is changing the Y value.
• Is this just me or has anyone else seen it?
• My dungeon: Witches Brew NW-DKWBQE64E @strainzed
• Thanks for the review. I'm printing it to fix some of the detailing. A couple notes though: -The clothes hanging in the first room are part of the room. I can't find a way to get rid of them. I didn't put them there & I've seen other people have this problem but I haven't seen a solution. There are also flies buzzing…
• I did find some hostages. That was a neat little thing. It would be nice if there could be some rewards for things like that but I'm sure it would get exploited in a hurry. I don't know if I found them all though. There was a girl & 1 or 2 others all together in a corner.
• I tried your dungeon but couldn't review it. Something happened at the end and I had to just log out since I could not get out any other way. I'll give some feedback: -Talking to the wizard visage at the beginning, replace "then" with "than". -More rest shrines. Every battle seems epic so some rests would be nice. I know…
• I went in your dungeon & liked it. My review: Perhaps add a way out of the dungeon at the beginning. I'm telling everyone this for good measure since I got stuck in one dungeon. The story was good. I'd like to see the end be more of a "cliffhanger" since it's to be continued. The combat was nice and steady throughout the…
• I left a review for you. I like the story so far. The house at the beginning was well done. My dungeon: T: Witches Brew C: NW-DKWBQE64E A: @strainzed
• I gave you a review. I would suggest perhaps adding an alter near the front. I would also add an exit in the front in case people might go in but have to leave. My dungeon: Witches Brew DKWBQE64E
• That was a neat dungeon. I really like the interactions you set up with objects. That will really help me figure out what all can be donw with the foundry. I left a review. If you would like to check out my dungeon, it's: Witches Brew #NW-DKWBQE64E @strainerzed
• My son & I both reviewed yours. That was fun. If you'd like to try my dungeon out, it's: Name: Witches Brew Code: NW-DKWBQE64E Author: @strainzed
• My dungeon # is NW-DKWBQE64E if anyone wants to try. Paul, Thank you for that. I tried your dungeon but did not finish. The end is clever but (spoiler folks - don't read if you want to find out for yourselves) I had trouble jumping. I saw you had a way to go for little folks. I was on a half elf. I don't know jumping in…
• Is there a quick way to find these? I went back to my dungeon & it gave me the "publish" option again. I'm assuming this means it unpublished itself somehow? It's hard to find in-game though. I don't see a search in the not-yet-reviewed dungeons.
• Bump - Lots of fun! Try it out.
• Dude, you rock. I think you're the only person I've ever seen pay any attention to the racial caps back in 2.0.
• Wow, how is n-o-o-b a cuss word?
• OMG, we're a bunch of cranky old geezers here. Now the pups will be telling us to get off their lawn. See you all in game. I'm the gimp Guardian Fighter who keeps dying. My son makes fun of me for being a "****". I'm not sure what that is yet. Dang kids.
• Nobody is complaining about this being a video game. Your last post made more sense. People should not expect this be be an exact replica of D&D Pnp and I'd agree with that (action vs turn based seems the primary difference driver to me). What you originally said, however, indicated that people who play D&D Pnp are…
• Astral, I was referring to your comment that you would never see a PC gamer complain about everyone using pen and paper in a D&D game. That comment is misplaced considering the conversation people are attempting to have here. It just doesn't make any sense at all. Read what I put in bold while quoting you & think about…
• Wow, some people just don't get it. Nobody is complaining that this is a video game rather than pencil and paper. They are complaining because it's a lousy translation of what D&D should look like as a video game. I'm sure people who want to play PnP D&D are doing just that.
• Maybe it's because you get to play in one of the most fantastic settings from one of the finest games ever created by human kind. Underneath it all, though, is Cryptic's generic "MMO Game Engine" which leaves a bit to be desired.
• I'd suggest DDO to anyone who has the patience & will to actually learn something. The system is great and the game is a lot of fun. It takes a bit to get the hang of it but it's well worth it if you do. If you "try it out" and split right away because you don't get it, then you've robbed yourself. I'll bet most people who…
• Real D&D games have bows. For some crazy reason unbeknownst to me, "MMO" seems to have to have a special class just to shoot a bow. Any Fighter worth beans should be a decent archer. Any Fighter who specializes in bows should be able to call himself an Archer. These "MMO" limits people keep harping on seem made up. I read…
• I’ve always been a big fan of saving throws. I’ll try to explain the reasoning behind them. The above poster states in an action environment there should only be a few factors determining the success of a stun; positioning, if it’s interrupted, & what’s being done to counteract it. I think there’s one more factor. Let’s…
• So, you would believe a camel is a horse because a zoologist told you it was? If a waiter put a HAMSTER on a plate and told you it was food, would you eat it? Ryger, your posts are the most hostile I see out of anyone here. Only one person is raging that I can tell. Others are debating, making…
• "Our lead combat designer, Kevin Stocker, has a copy of Bayonetta on his desk right now." A controller-friendly MMORPG running on a computer capable of streaming onto a television could help Neverwinter find a backdoor into the living room; a realm that's largely eluded the genre. "It's something we've talked about a lot,"…
• Are you serious or is this a joke? You want to get on a Dungeons and Dragons game and go fishing? Maybe you should try: Sharking! or... Krakening! Maybe even Dragon Turtleing! How about - Sea Hagging! Anything but fishing, that's for sissies. Also, any adventurer worth his weight in salt knows you don't cook! You eat these…
• I'd like to see group building. We play together, why not build together? Not sure how it would work but being able to build a dungeon with a friend might be fun/ collaborate on ideas.
