GW2 is funded by the money of people pay to purchase the game. The deluxe digital edition is $80. LoL is funded by micro-transactions just like this game is. The items in LoL are not cosmetic only. You can buy skills, but like NWO, everything in the cash shop can be obtained in game.
No, you're stating an opinion, and one that very few ppl agree with. As I stated before, you are welcome to find another game if this one is not to your liking. however if it's free to play, it WILL allow players to pay to win, regardless of your thoughts of right or wrong. Sorry man, but you lose either way. Stop blaming…
Ok, seriously, I have to work, so probably my last post as well, but SHUT UP! If you don't like this game, go play another, but I guarantee you're going to find the same thing everywhere you go. It's better hidden in other games (or you're just too ignorant to see it) but it's there. Have fun complaining to people who…
So my question for the OP: Do you even understand how F2P games work? It's very simple. People who spend money keep the game alive so that people like you can play for free. It's designed so that anyone can play regardless of financial standing or willingness to spend money on the game. If the only items offered in the…
Completely absurd. I have a near 6 figure income, I live in WA, so I hike and mountain bike quite a bit. Not sure where this ignorant sweeping generalization is coming from.
Complain all you want guys. I got me a new air tower fan today which is running full speed, tested my new Ninja blender by making some really awesome strawberry pina coladas, and 5 seasons of Eureka on netflix. Take your time.
Honestly, it's not an age or any definable number. It's more of a diversity of game experience and an appreciation from where the industry came from. You don't have to be from the Atari/Nintendo era. I know people who are half my age but know just as much about old games as I do and 1 even has an impressive collection of…
I did the same about 2 years ago. It was really sad to see EQ go so carebear. People solo or bot farming PoT to get twink gear for alts, the new skill revamps that made zerkers practically unstoppable 1 man armies to a degree that a BL couldn't even fathom...it was almost like a somber eulogy.
Yeah, you kinda got us there. If anyone here remembers old Multi User Dungeons (basically a chat room D&D style) then you're as old and seasoned as I am...
Well, it deserves to be noted that the F2P cash shop game model has been proven to be the most successful and profitable over the last few years. So much so that a number of games that were previously sub based have started to migrate to this model or at least a hybrid of it. Everquest 2 is a good example of this.
My GF is a hardcore gamer as well. Just wish I could get her away from EQ2. We both played since launch and I recently left for other endeavors. Almost 9 years with a game is enough.
Everquest. Good memories of late nights, contested raid zones, being killed by a @#$%## fire beetle and having to do corpse runs in Nek forest with a whole group just to get your HAMSTER back.
Well, if we really want to be technical, I started with ActionMax...one of those ancient systems that came programmed with a couple games and that was ALL. Atari was just the flavor of the day.
HEHE, and I'm one of those 30 something gamers. So I was hooked from the Atari era. I catch a lot of HAMSTER for gaming so much at my age, but fact is that I travel a lot and when you're seeing the inside of a different hotel room every few weeks, gaming tends to be a nice familiar comfort.
That's because Pitfall was on a level of epic proportions that the new generation of gamers will never appreciate except with a cheap flash knockoff they play during times like this when the servers are down.
Best part about being a veteran gamer (over 25 years of gaming, yeah, I started with Atari...old school) is that I see this happen in EVERY game. Everquest, PWI, Neverwinter Nights, the Diablo series, FW, Runescape, RO, Fiesta, EQ2...it doesn't matter. As soon as there's any hiccup, some like to hit the forums with…
