I did try the profession, it was dull and accomplished nothing. I did several iterations of the tasks I could do and saw zero results, profession-wise. So here I sit at lvl 1 with zero experience points and no desire to waste a slot continuing to get zero XP, with NO INDICATION that that will change. So yeah I see a green…
Well, I see that NOW, but before I wandered into the forums and started looking it up it had the appearance of the other asset requiring tasks, only this one was the only one that yielded XP; it looked profoundly lame, so I shelved it.
I will point out that being stuck at level one means no additional apothecaries. And no real interest in moving forward, I tend to like crafting in MMOs and, as others have said, this had high potential; I think it fell flat.
Yeah, I saw the green material required for the only thing that give XP, and just assumed I had to buy it, so I stopped doing alchemy. Now I'm all for changing up how things work, BUT GIVE US A HINT! I may start trying again, but I am not convinced it's worth it. It's like the WoW quests that say go kill 10 things (normal…
I haven't GOTTEN to level two, from all appearances you have to pay money to level Alch. every other green item like that is CA$H only to get them. (e.g. bag of gems)
I had this problem, I attacked the last set of critters before entering the room... never saw cut scene. Went back to quest giver, dropped quest, retook quest, went back through. Entered last room, killed the 3 gnolls then went to work on the red wizard, mostly ignored the skellies or blew them back with aoe blast. They…
Well the rules can't be enforced, easily, by the players, but a code change to disable need by one who cannot equip the item would move in that direction. But just because something isn't/can't be enforced doesn't make it OK to break the rules. Try reading it again, I said people who are unwilling to follow rules. Anyway,…
Most of my D&D gaming was pre-FR, Greyhawk and stuff, or worlds the GM crafted themselves. Is there a good reference for world lore short of buying a load of stuff from WotC? (not saying I won't) :)
The fact that the rules have to be enforced, instead of just stated, is because of those unwilling to follow rules. They are the ones that are responsible for most of the problems in the world. I am not saying all rules are good, or just, or that they all should be followed blindly, without question. It is this person, and…
I guess the real issue with BoA and stuff is how to get loot into people's hand for doing stuff without simultaneously giving goldfarmers a reason to go after it. There is no way to prevent goldfarming, except by not having an economy, and the only way to prevent people from selling loot is not letting them trade it.
Trading card games are not random, they are unpredictable. There is a fixed number of each rarity of card on every sheet printed, etc. Things like lock boxes can, in theory, NEVER pay out anything but the trash items, and nobody would ever know except the people in control. Meanwhile Jack and Jill are spending the BIG…
Wow, there was a time were depraved folk like you were actually embarrassed to admit such behavior, I guess the anonymity of the internet shields all. I guess if you can live with yourself that's ok, I can't imagine you'd have any RL friends unless you are all DBs together. As other folks have said: it is for the evil we…
And no matter how hard the devs try to break the mold, [some] players will drag them kicking and screaming back to pure DPS/HEAL/TANK archetypes. Still I am not going to try a list until I know what all the combinations are. I've always like ranged rogue types, or rangers. But I also like to play spell casters, and even…
Of course, there is no reason not to just have a centralized character database, and actually run the game/world on the shards. The characters never need copying, well except test, but that'll be running a different code base anyway; all interaction between the character and the world could just as easily be done across…
I've always hated the popups, and the rolling. A bad RNG will always leave people annoyed, and there are no good RNGs. Some kind of post dungeon/encounter bidding could be made a bit more equitable.
