Finally... after 32 days of frustration, this thread becomes obsolete. Does it bring me back to the game itself? Not sure about that...

And yet again one thing that is well known for weeks. It is a Gateway bug, surely, making Alchemy the only real vulnerable profession as you can't gain xp without doing researches. And you can't get the needed scrolls to research once you finished that research. That's the trap we all fell in.

This one is old and has been offered as a solution multiple times in this thread. Obviously, this is too difficult. They surely would have done so already, if they could implement such a complex code into this fragile game construct...

Well, I just did my professions (except alchemy, of course) and collected ardent coins for over two weeks now without actually playing the game. I might very well give up on Cryptic, Perfect World and Neverwinter. Such an obvious and easy to fix bug is not addressed at all... why should I spend even more time with this…

It stayed german, but that slot bug is gone as of today. Tried to access Gateway yesterday multiple times, via Android and PC, without any success. I have to search for a language selection option, I guess...

At least they did a Gateway update! It is in german now (which I didn't want to). And it is totally unusable, since all 9 slots are free but can't be accessed in any fashion, and I can't collect finished jobs. So there's no way to get bugged by Gateway, hooray! ;)

I feel sorry for you mate. Same as you, I am more than willing to pay cash for a F2P game, although I wouldn't spend that much :) But honestly... I get the feeling this game just isn't worth it. And I even spent money on browser games ...

That would be way to easy. Stupid pyrex, how could you even think, that this might work!? The ultra-complex Gateway can't be fooled that way. You shall not pass to the next level! ;)

sigaxel77, reported that already with Platesmithing. This is a Gateway-Bug, not Alchemy itself. But with all other professions, one task granting xp and completed ingame will solve the bug for you. That's a bug that happens once in a while zakez. Try again later, it will be good then. It would really help if you'd get those scrolls from experiments even if you already did the research. It would be nasty, but then you would be able to level up. But that doesn't work either, I do not get any scrolls....

Same with me. Logging in and playing the game is... well, by no means entertaining. I had to abandon Alchemy due to that bug. Great stuff! EA did the same thing with SW:ToR. No support, no players. It's that **** easy. Okay, Neverwinter is F2P, but they really improve their bugfixing or there will be no one purchasing ZEN…

I can confirm, that the Gateway leveling bug is fixed. At least for Platesmithing, where I tested it successfully a few hours ago. Sadly, that doesn't help with Alchemy, since there aren't enough possiblities to gain xp.

It looks like leveling through Gateway is not possible. Did the same thing with Platesmithing today, after logging into the game it said 2455/2400 xp. I finished a task which awarded xp afterwards and leveled up. So there is some kind of workaround... for everything but Alchemy...

Well, I am just about to finish the last potions needed to do the lab experiment again, just lacking some Aqua Vitae. I will try to get those 300xp again, and will see what happens. But yes, only in-game :) As the 900xp are listed, I expect either to level up to 5 or even 6. And will report back of course :)

Got some patience, no? Then, maybe try to avoid crafting. You got to play this game for days, weeks and months. It's perfectly fine to last a while till you get to max level.
