I like your idea to build a rank 1 warehouse and not upgrade it. I was not planning on building a warehouse at all, but +30% coffer capacity would be useful,
I am in a solo guild which, in 24 hours, will finish upgrading to guild hall rank 9. I considered various "strategies" when choosing which buildings to build/upgrade. The most effective solution I found, is not to choose the building which produce the most of what you want/need, but to choose the buildings which are…
I am in a level 6 solo guild. A few days ago, I was planning to build the stable, but thanks to your (and others) advice, I changed my mind, and will start building a Milling Yard later today. I will forgo the boons, and instead, maximize resource production.
The 100k RAD cap has nothing to do with module 15. This is the preview forum, not the complain about module 14 forum. There are plenty of incentives to develop alts. It's called "entertainment". If developing alts is not entertaining to you, then stop doing it. Neverwinter is free2play, not free4all. There are plenty of…
The new profession system is the highlight of module 15. And you think professions should be limited to one or two characters per account? LoL Why not just ask for Cryptic to completely remove professions?? LoL Or why not just ask Cryptic to limit all accounts to only one or two characters? LOL Not gonna happen. In regards…
For the past week, average cpu usage appears to be slightly reduced after a recent patch. This is the reason there is less freezing while playing on your two-core/thread cpu. Average cpu usage is usually still more than two cores, but overall, slightly less than before. I see no reduction in frame rate (otherwise I would…
I have a request. Please make it possible to produce influence from professions. I think I speak for most players when I say that farming stronghold influence is no longer a fun activity. Please give us additional ways to obtain influence (and/or other resources too) for our strongholds.
My guess is his problem is related to vram. high vram temperature could cause this to happen. If I were him, the first thing I would do is underclock the vram.
Your problem appears to be related to video memory (vram). The data in video memory appears to be corrupted. Do a "force verify" in the launcher. Try underclocking the video ram on your graphics card. MSI Afterburner is good for underclocking. Better cooling may also help.
CPU test: 4 cores vs 3 cores vs 2 cores On 4 cores, frame rate is highest and always smooth On 3 cores, frame rate is slightly less (than 4 cores) but still smooth. On 2 cores, frame rate is much less (than 4 cores) and there is lots of micro-stutter. This test does not perfectly simulate a 2 core cpu because windows and…
I don't know any PC games that analyze the cpu, and run different code (with different degrees of multi-threading) depending on the number of cpu cores. Cryptic already decided to stop supporting dx9. You are dreaming if you think Cryptic will, after 5 years since this game launched, suddenly decide to support different…
i5-5300U is a dual-core with hyperthreading. https://ark.intel.com/products/85213/Intel-Core-i5-5300U-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-2_90-GHz without hyperthreading, you would have serious problems.
The reason for increased frame rate is, in my opinion, mainly due to increased cpu multi-threading. Before module 14, the game used two cpu cores, and rarely more. Since module 14, based on the numbers I see in-game, this game now uses two cpu cores almost constantly, and often three. The increased multi-threading is too…
This was reported on the preview forums soon after module 14 launched on preview server. That was a few months ago. No comment from the devs. I don't care whether or not the devs make an annoucement regarding these changes. I am very much against undoing these changes.
Your PC has 12 GB of ram and 4 GB of vram. If there were a memory leak, your PC would be one of the last to be affected. My PC only has 8 GB of ram and 2 GB vram, but I do not experience "momentary pauses or hiccups" as you mentioned because my cpu/motherboard/ram is 2017 (Intel Kaby Lake/DDR4 2400MHZ CL14/Sata III SSD)…
pedro2908926 started this discussion. The discussion is about "FPS drop issue", not about every problem you have. Rending problem is a separate issue. Just because your cpu has the name "core i7" does not mean it is a good cpu. I greatly appreciate the cpu/ram/vram usage increase in module 14, and anyone who posts in this…
Placing one's own interests above the interests of others does not mean one is evil. It means one is selfish. Self-defense and self-preservation are not evil but they are self-service. If Makos were to ally with Valindra, or willingly support Valindra, then that would be evil.
https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/neverwinter/news/detail/10899973-barovia-a-developer%27s-perspective The final task I wanted to talk about is optimization. It’s a tricky concept, especially for PC games. Developers working on a single platform can optimize very narrowly towards a single target. Since Neverwinter launches…
These requirements are old. Since module 14, Neverwinter uses more than two cpu cores, and uses more than 4GB ram, and uses more than 1 GB vram, based on personal testing on both preview server and on live server. Thanks to these changes, frame rate is, by my estimates, 20-30% higher than before module 14. Neverwinter is…
Prior to module 14, it was possible to play Neverwinter on a dual-core cpu with 4GB ram. I know because I played on a dual-core pentium (without hyperthreading) for about 1 year. I played with only 4GB ram for about 3-4 years. Module 14 changed all that. Now you need at least 4 cores (or dual core cpu with hyperthreading).…
I play three main characters, and have three low-geared alts. Each main character does one random queue. All salvage is sent to my 3 alts. All 6 characters are invoked to maximum every day. With VIP rank 12 + invoke bonus + DC bonus (for playing DC on advanced queue), I earn 100k per day in less time than before. Overall,…
Strange things happened to me. My lights flickered for a moment, around the same time the server went down. My laptop stayed on (because of battery), but my external monitor restarted, and router restarted too. coincidence?
Merchant Misery HE in Barovia. I killed the first 12 monsters quickly. But had to wait several minutes for the final 4 monsters to appear. I almost left without finishing.
That's not what I said. I take offense at your intentional misrepresentation of my words. I said you should focus on maximizing dps of the group. That means the combined dps of the whole group. Since our knowledge is limited, it's not always clear exactly what is the best way to maximize group dps, but do the best you can…
Stop thinking in terms of "my dps" and "your dps". Think in terms of "group dps" A good buffer/debuffer can contribute much more dps, to the total group dps, than a non-buffer/non-debuffer can. Buffing and debuffing are things to be proud of. Focus on maximizing group dps and try not to be bothered by your paingiver score.
