Thanks! The idea was to identify a flexible ranged build that would work primarily in solo dungeon play and still be viable in group play. Completely agree with you on the respect aspect as appropriate builds seem very situational. Versatility in the class becomes severely limited in selecting complementary powers once…
Thanks for checking out the vid! The pet I was using is a level 15 panther(striker) from the founders pack. The dungeon I was running is from the new Dread Ring zone - Death Forge. I have found the Ranger capable of producing high DPS numbers but as you mentioned, and I agree 100% with you that it's takes much longer to…
@xtraordinary91 As a level 60 Ranger with level 8 and 9 enchants in my full set of Wardens gear (blues with better stats than the base purples you get from dread ring), I can say their damage is quite underwhelming. Fun class to play, but if I have to choose between running or selecting a Ranger or any other of the…
If the Rangers ranged damage output on mobs is equivalent to or less than a CW while lacking their crowd control abilities. And the Rangers single target melee damage fall far short of a Rogue. To the devs, producers, etc... Why would anyone take a Ranger over or in substitute to any of the existing classes when running…
And that's the problem. Ranger output on mobs should be much higher as their defenses are lower, ie.no bubble, shorter dash, etc... They sacrifice control for raw damage. At least that's my take of the NW version of the StormWarden. IMO, I believe the class should be closer to the 4E definition and be on par with the Rogue…
Same can be said for all other classes playing in that zone. Question is, as a DPS (Striker) class, are you killing these mobs as quickly as the others of the same archetype? In their current state, Rogues are going to snack on Rangers like M&M's.
Unfortunately, based on prior responses to community feedback all they (devs, etc...) will see in reading your post is, Cleric pets need to be toned down.
I've never understood that statement. Things you'll never hear men say: 1. There is to much air. 2. I bought way to many six-packs when I went shopping. 3. These women have way to little on. (ok.. most men)
