That's a big YES from me, and I didn't even get to try it out on the PC (playing exclusively on the PS4 now). Anything to improve the PvP environment with the player base gets my overwhelming support. I hope they bring it to the console platforms as well. I don't see why they wouldn't, since it seemed like a major hit with…
Yes santralafax, I'm certain quite a few of them have dropped a couple grand on the game - probably more. Heck, some of the guilds on the PS4 required a $200-$300 (buying stronghold materials) entry fee from people (which is just utterly ludicrous to me). The astral diamond exchange was up to 415 today as well, so they're…
Confused by this build. In one of the posts on the first page you mention putting points into CON every 10 levels, along with INT. Yet in your build update it looks like you went CON and STR every 10 levels. Which is it? I'm rolling a new GWF and like to PvP quite a bit. This looked like a solid build to get me started, so…
sh00ter, I know what you're saying and the bottom line is the almighty dollar, while continually siphoning more from us. That said, the balance is so far out of whack in PvP right now, that it just becomes a true comedy. Domination matches are like an old Benny Hill episode, but with much less laughter or a catchy theme…
I'm just trying to understand the rationale and philosophy of the developers of pitting low item level players against premades with the best gear/enchantments, with zero chance of ever winning a match? I'd love to hear the justification for keeping the status quo, and *how* having a continual slew of unfair matches…
jonkoca nailed it. HR's are not the problem with this game, it's the horrific matchmaking system and disparity of dumping all players together in a blender of low item level against premades with the best gear in the game. There's zero chance for PUG groups to win the match, let alone scratch or tickle the other team. Just…
Some of the worst PvP that I've ever endured in an MMO is with this game. I've played many, many MMO's with PvP (Darkfall, UO (Pre-Trammel), Shadowbane, Age of Conan, Warhammer, Dark Age of Camelot, etc.). The matchmaking, is quite literally, the most horrific thing that I've seen in an MMO-PvP game to date. I'm playing…
Neverwinter is definitely one of my favorite games of all time, and I've been around the block and back again. Been playing video games since the 70's, and quite long in the tooth with MMO's as well -- dating back to Ultima Online (Pre-Trammel), Asheron's Call, Shadowbane, Dark Age of Camelot, Everquest, Age of Conan,…
My favorite memory/memories was me and my friends seeing and realizing that some of our favorite childhood heroes (Drizzt Do'Urden, Bruenor Battlehammer, Jaraxle Baenre, etc) from RA Salvatore's books and the Forgotten Realms had come to life again in a video game we're playing together. It's been a trip down nostalgia…
Same issue and results as excat56, up above. I was even just talking to guildmates about the issue, and they experience stick drift with the DS4 and Neverwinter. At first, I thought that something was wrong or broken with my DS4 controllers. I have 4 different DS4 controllers, with each and every one of them experiencing…
lewstalmon01 said: "Actually, PWE nor Cryptic artificially inject ZEN into the exchange. That's a commonly held fallacy." Fallacy smailacy. Sorry, but people are not naive to the undercurrent and proliferation of this company making money off players. That's how most free to play games work, they nickel and dime you on…
I'd like to see some tweaks and adjustments to make the Oppressor tree more attractive for us, besides just having Icy Veins. In my opinion, the keystone ability of Shatter Strike needs a damage boost.
Really don't understand how or why this queue system is putting us into games in the last few seconds of losing match. And yeah, clicking accept for a match and getting completely KICKED OUT of the queue entirely is broken. What the...?
Just to clarify: what SHOULD happen is there will not be enough people or they cancel, and you will be in "waiting for queue" while remaining in the queue with others. What DOES happen, is the queue system is just completely dumping us OUT of all queues, and we have to begin the process AGAIN.
Thanks, feanor. I might just switch anyway, because I just really am not "feeling" the Trapper. Besides, I think it might be in my best interest to get used to the Combat style and mechanics of the tree in preparation of Mod 10 down the road. I'm getting whomped in Domination and Gauntlgrym most of the time anyway, might…
Disconnected me, and the play button is grayed out. Maintenance again? This has become a recurring theme with the disconnects, server not responding, oppressive lag, and client freezes.
The PvP side is worse, since it just spits you back out of the queue - over and over again. It's an endless loop at times. For instance, tonight it booted me randomly from Domination and Gauntlgrym matches 14 times in row, until I was "lucky" to be deemed entrance to a match. Something is inherently flawed with this queue…
Spit me out of the queue 14 times in row, and then one popped. Something is completely flawed with this queue system for matches. What is going on here?
Done that a hundred times over, realhambone. It doesn't get rid of the audio pops, they always come back. Things I've done: *Initialized the PS4 *Different HDMI cables *Entered the PS4 in safe mode and rebuilt the database numerous times *Used a different HDTV *Closed the application and game client hundreds, probably…
Yeah, I use the war dog companion with my DC. He's a good little companion. Hammbo1969, I doubt that the PS4 will ever have access to the companion loyal gear. Too many hoops and logistics to jump through to implement Sword Coast Adventures on the platform. I really wish we had access to that stuff, but in reality we most…
