Lol... No it was not. That was the bloated Elvis in Vegas state. Right before he was found dead on the toilet, constipated & full of horse tranquilizers.
Welcome to what F2P does to the world of MMO gaming. Mediocrity reigns supreme. This game is a distraction while I wait for a good subscription based game to come along.
The first time I played FFXIV after purchasing the collectors edition. I wanted to vomit. Coming in second would be when I was grouping with my brothers in a dungeon run. I was the meat shield & my younger brother ninja'd my tank piece. The trash talk went on for days.
Personally, I think they should make a subscriber package available for those that would like one. When I play a game, I do it to think about the game. Not real world currency.
:D There is that. Kind of funny, I was just hit up for cash the other day by a relative & said I was busted. Then there was the awkward conversation as they bumped into a friend in common who told them I just scored some tix to the Bob Dylan/Wilco show. Lol - At least they know where they stand now... heh.
It's like that relative that always hits you up for money. Everytime they start talking, you're just waiting for them to get to the part where they play all "oh, by the way, I hate to ask but can you slide a little cash my way, I'm in a pinch at the moment." That's how I feel playing these games. The contant feeling of…
Yea. It just feels like there is no end to the money sink without a sub, which is why I usually never start. $5-$10 here & there & you still feel like you've gotten nowhere.
Every time I play a F2P MMO of this variety, I often wonder why they don't have the option for players to buy into a subscription. I would gladly pay a reasonable sub to not be led inevitibley back to a cash shop.
OP, when you inevitably start shopping for a new CPU, make sure to check the socket type for your mobo. You may need an upgrade of more than just a CPU. Cheers & good luck.
