• I can share what worked for me, can't guarantee it will work for you though. I had a Nightmare Inferno that I couldn't mount and tried everything. Finally tried selling it from my bags to a vendor then equipped it again and it worked.

• Heads up guys, I think I found a fix. Not sure if it's a temporary one yet, but I tried to sell my Nightmare mount to the vendor behind the auction house and then equipped it, tried to mount and it worked.
