Pvp or pve ? I suggest you to go to renegade. I check quicly : too wisdom.Shard of avalanche is no good go for desintegrate or ftf. But what you need the most is better gear. Change your ring for green level70. Ang go take some pvp gear. The bad New: icy is wonderful but you need to be very close of mob.
We should define a test protocole for: 1) confirming formula. Is it (1+bonus-resist) or (1+bonus)/(1+resist) ? 2) defining how much resist mob have by type : trash, champion, elite, boss, ... For pet gear, they are clearly designed for bringing back other pet than augment as invoqued compagnion.
Clearly, 40% look like the minimum ammount to obtain when 60% look like a more confortable number as it will include most mobs, elite and boss. There will be a few exception like tiamat beyond thar.
In fact, it's really like Abyss of Chaos before the nerf. The question is at what level should be the damage to be at best on part with Valindra set. And yes, 15% control bonus is really low.
@abaddon : I love when people stop reading my explanation mid-way. Can you please restart by reading what I say just 4 lines below : 1k damage is what it should be doing. But all in all, you just made this crit for trolling as we are all here OK to say that this set is OP for CW. And I say that it need to be heavily nerfed…
It's easy to calculate the value of the Lostmauth set bonus. Since Valindra set only give control bonus/resist, then it can be ignored in the comparison. The stat of the 2 set are equivalent so only the buff to INT/CHA should be accounted. For this example, I will say that my mage have only 50% real crit chance (it's a lot…
The control bonus versus control resist look to be in favour of the resist. Mob have base control resist and it's easier to stack control resist than control bonus (to be verified) But it's mostly because % are so small and how it's calculated. Take a stun that last 1s. Against 50% resist, it will only last 0.5s. With 50%…
My main is a CW. I'm Master of Flame of course. Hey, it's the only class that can literally burn things down *o* In most game I played, I always choose to play caster : themed frost if possible. Since cold spell are baseline here, I go Master of Flame then. Partly because Spellstorm is the *way to go* (I'm a rebellious…
I will do it. This weekend I think. The difficulty is that English isn't my native language. But as a taunt, I will put my feat here : http://nwcalc.com/index.html#/cw?b=1oa5:k6rwk5:8dep:5tb7d,13j3ih0:150uu00:1000000:1z050uv&h=0&p=mof
For hardcore pvp, I would said Spellstorm by far. MoF are good but it rely too much on class feature to manage Smolder. And MoF lack of burst damage compared to SS. Spellstorm do have a lot more choice on Class Feature.
You means the build with 3/5 Icy Veins and 2/5 Frigid Winds ? It's only noticable in a configuration with CoI on tab. because stacking chill will be easier. It should be more valuable for SS mage with Chilling Control. It also need a lot more control bonus to extend the freeze duration. Without CoI on tab, I will suggest…
The effect is pretty minor outside of high number stat. Those stat are mainly offensive. Mage will never have more than a few thousend any any defensive stat like Defence or Life Steal. For example, I build a pretty defensive CW that have 5k defence. The 3% will give me 150 defence witch result in less than 0.5% damage…
The only good point with Prestidigitation is that it's cumulative. So 2 CW in the group will give 6% to the whole group. It start to feel interresting. outsided of it, Learned Spellcaster seem to be the way to go.
If we say that the 3% buff to recovery and crit rating are minor but power and armor pen aren't (for simplfication), then we have: damage increase = 3% of power + 3% of armor pen compared to 1.26 - 1.224 = 3.6% damage increase loss for 5 points to only 2 points. If we take that Arm pen reduce def by 50% so the bonus give…
Don't be wrong. Disintegrate is the bigest damage spell for CW. It should be on everi mare casting bar. it hit a little lesss than Ice Knife but every 5s. But there's no purpose to slot it on tab.
I do think the treshold is anappealing. It should be 400% out of mastery and 600% on tab ... But don't forget it should pass all damage resist. 100% DR for 5s, no problem if ypu have less than 5k health it will kill you. Actually, I can't even say if it work at all. It's very difficult to test correctly.
As MoF, I choose not to invest into it. since mod6, smolder damage haven't been that huge in comparison to other damage. I use it as a debuff with swath of destruction. 3 point in it result for me in a 1k damage increase in smolder but a 3k loss on steal time. The same goes for it, etc. For me, when I balance the gain and…
On the question about MoF, mod6 give us a great gift : an ability to freeze things quickly. What I mean is that with Icy Veins, it's easier to change smolder into rimefire and to keep it ticking. since I'm level 70, I switch to Swath of Destruction + Chilling Presence with Fanning the Flame on tab. It lead to an…
If you use Chilling Presence as MoF, you should use Chilling cloud instead of Scorching Burst because it add chill stack. Here's mine : * MoF renegade with IV 3/5 * Encounters: CoI (tab) + Steal Time + Icy Terrain + Disintegrate/Shield * At will: Chilling cloud + Ray of Frost * Class Feature: Critical Conflagration +…
I just *love* how every poll is just black and white. I choose I love it simply because I don't deserve a negative feedback. it have bad side like the horrible lag (for French player like I am) and some other things. But It's a great job for me.
