I agree with samuraikings at the level 60 pvp's the rogues become a lot more balanced. Rogues during the lower levels cleaned up easily but at the higher levels classes really start to come into their own. Me and my friend have been playing this game since launch and are both in the 40's on our characters we play together. We have only been playing casually and are having a great time. You can keep the glow you just have to alter the appearance of your current stat ring to look like the luminescence ring. It will keep the glow with the new stats.

I have a Control Wizard friend who I play with on my trickster rogue. He normally gets close to me in skirmishes because of all the trash mobs. In dungeons it has always been my rogue then him in second unless another rogue is grouped with us.
