Okay, the audio settings didn't fix my problem. However, my husband may have figured it out. He disabled the "On-Demand Patching" option in the options tab of the loader. And so far I've been playing for much longer than I ever was able to before, so... try that if you're still having crashes!

Don't get your hopes up, I sent my DxDiag to tech support a day and a half ago and all I got was "we're looking into it" and haven't heard a thing since. Already did a clean install and updated my drivers among many other things, still no luck.

You're not the only one, I can't play since Module 3 either. I'm lucky if I even make it past the Character Select screen before it crashes to my desktop. I have the same problems and I've tried everything I can think of, including filing a support ticket which thus far has not had any solutions that worked. I'm using an AMD Radeon HD 6700, not Nvidia.

Went over all the graphics settings as you suggested, updated all my drivers, tried opening/closing it in safe mode, tried everything the NW FAQ suggests and another clean install. I don't think it's that. I have the same problem and I am using an AMD Radeon, not a Nvidia. My husband I think has a Nvidia and he's able to play just fine, while I am stuck crashing every few minutes.

No, I didn't know about that having 3 tabs. I lowered them on two, but I will try the third later today when I have the chance.

I have the same problem, and sadly nothing has worked for me either. I've also tried a clean install and playing with my settings, such as setting all my graphics down to minimal, all my drivers are updated. No luck. Right now the game is completely unplayable for me. Mine is similar, but not quite the same. I can usually get into the game, but within seconds of entering (or sometimes even on the character screen), my game crashes every time. It's been unplayable for me since they patched in the Icewind Dale update.
