Added: scozzers' Healing Powers and Synergistic Feats Also updated some tags. If I forgot anyone or anything, please drop me a PM and I'll take care of it. :) Happy gaming!
No, they haven't. The market leading MMO, WoW, gave up on fighting bots. In PvP, in resource collecting, anywhere. And that is a game where you need a CD key per account. NWN is F2P, making it even harder.
I haven't used this mission in a while, and my first reaction was also that it punishes legitimate players because of the bots. However, at a second thought, I understand the reasons. Ideally, addressing the botting would be ideal, but that isn't trivial and may be impossible, so a fix like this yields immediate results…
Logging on daily, especially with multiple characters, is trivial, but doing it over a longer period of time requires an attention span that is longer a match against a premade.
This has nothing to do with intelligence. When you're working in customer support, you follow the company's policies. The higher up you are, the more freedom (which is experienced by the customer as initiative) you have to stray form the beaten track of "how things are done". Making exceptions also sets examples, which…
If this change goes in as proposed, there will be less incentive for me to spend money. I am fine with farming gear for one character, but doing it for all my alts is not what I enjoy, so I would normally exchange Zen for AD and buy the missing pieces from the AH. Without that option, I have less need for AD and,…
Enchants, which you can get from dungeons, some of the crafted items, BoE drops, crafting materials, etc. I have mixed feelings about the BoE/BoP issue, and I see advantages and disadvantages for either approach (all of which have been mentioned in this thread). I sort of like the economical meta game in MMOs (and gearing…
I plan to look over all guides in a few days to see which were updated. The changes are not necessarily huge, but I agree that knowing which guides are updated for the most recent "major" version of the game is definitely useful and desirable. I might opt for a "after release" marker. (For my own guide, I added a little…
Will take a bit! With the current state of the feats, Renegade doesn't work well and I'm hoping for a fix soon (and really need to see if it is happening before I try to work around the issues). More on this soon!
There's more to the game than running dungeons all day. I still have fun with foundries, and I still enjoy leveling alts, and I still enjoy professions. There are some feat issues with the CW, but I don't see why that shouldn't get fixed. The sun always does come up the next day. Just ease a little into it and don't think…
Much less clicking now, though. :) It really is more than twice as fast for me now, especially via the gateway and those "gather mithral" type of 10-20 minutes tasks.
There's currently no progression path in PvP. Considering the gearscore for PvP matchmaking would probably help a little toward having slightly more balanced games, but not much. Getting the PvP gear is quick and painless, so it mostly boils down to the Castle Never weapons. I feel a better way to get more fun and even…
Well, rest assured, there are plenty of players who would totally love to have your DC in their group! I wouldn't think too much about one group out of probably dozens who had the rare luxury to be picky about the cleric! :) The solution for this "problem" is the same as for all similar complaints: Play with friends, play…
I imagine the free respec will essentially be the same as a respec token (the free ones that came with the founder packs was like that, too). Those reset the feats, the powers, and the attribute points used AFTER the character creation.
Green crafting supplies really eat up any gold you may have. :) I imagine it will be the same with the new Alchemy, which looks like an interesting profession.
It's not part of the problem. People leaving is just a symptom, and penalties for leaving don't address the cause: the reason why people leave. If someone leaves, it means that for whatever reason they are not enjoying themselves. Enjoying oneself is a pretty important thing in a video game. Trying to force them to stay in…
You do not learn anything from getting slaughtered by an organized team that also outgears your group of random people. There is nothing you can learn, other than it's best to leave the match or wait it out. It is neither fun nor educating. This is the chief reason why I moved away from PvP in Neverwinter. (I ran premades…
Because the fun that you have as a premade is at the expense of the fun of the random players you bully. As I said, there is nothing wrong with playing with friends, but you should be matched against people who also play with friends. That should still be fun for you.
My minor issue with this change is that it further punishes solo players who are unfortunate enough to meet a premade. Premades vs. randoms isn't ever fun for the randoms, and it feels much like getting bullied. I'm all for "playing with friends", but there is no reason why people who play with friends should not be…
There is a bit of a discrepancy between character leveling and profession leveling speed, though it's a relatively minor issue because the market for sub-60 level items is very limited. You also find a lot of gear while just questing. The stats bonuses of the green shirts and pants are also tiny. There are some blue…
Not currently. After the next patch when (if, but I'm hopeful) Tempest Magic gets fixed, it will be. Right now it does not work together with the Tiefling's racial, though, so Human is better, for the time being.
The 300 Zen packs CAN contain them. There's also the quest in Neverdeath that can award them, but it's just a chance. That, or the AH. (And the 1600 Zen packs.)
Many of the people you see with "exotic" mounts and companions paid money so that you can continue playing, with your staunch belief. :) I did make quite a bit in the AH, but I had also bought 15M AD when the exchange rate was 500:1 during headstart. Their Zen value has since then nearly doubled.
I agree with Greg. Buying green man-at-arms assets at the AH saves you so much time that you will easily make back the AD that they cost you. You can also further upgrade them, though that isn't cost efficient in the short run. I stopped power-leveling LS on my main (I have it on seven of eight alts as the primary…
