The 'zerg-fest' you're referring to is the WvW? Yes, that small part of the game has a zerg-mentality. Its a good thing the game is gigantic, with multiple things to do, besides WvW. If you're referring to dungeons, they fixed that, maybe you should go back to it... seeing that its f2p as well.

I don't play really. I just go to the gate and up my leadership. It lvls me up and gives me things without me even having to play. I then do 'life' stuff, but other than that I play other stuff that's higher quality. Then, I sometimes pop in and do 1-2 quests, collect my stuff from doing leadership crafting, and then log…

Whats going on is that theres too many ppl playing. Wait a month, when everyone realizes the game is a piece of trash, and you should have no problem with lag. :)
