Your build shined FOR YOU, more than others. For ME, and for OTHER people, other builds shine more. Other builds shine more than yours for different people. I run IoC instead of Dazing Strike because in a 1v1 against a Rogue, IoC will completely out-do Dazing Strike even if it does land. It will negate the DS CC, plus…
You shouldn't talk like what you say is THE best build and any other build is no where near as good. That sounds downright arrogant to be honest. I've learnt a lot from your old post, started using Duelists Flurry to great effect, and the jump trick is awesome, but I for one use Impossible to Catch rather than Dazing…
Can anyone explain the PvP gear that people keep talking about to me? What currency does it cost, how much of it does it cost, where do you get it from, is it the best for PvP and what does it give?
I've gotta say, this thread has taught me a whole lot. I am going to use DF as my main at-will now, but I have to say, IoC is just too amazing in PvP to pass up. It's absolutely necessary for me personally, I just had a CW add me and ask me how on earth I dominated him that hard, and he was especially curious on that move…
Damage wise, DF has more potential, but in terms of actual practicality, SF is easier to use and to land. That being said though, when you do land DF, for that split second you forget about any doubts you may have had about taking it over SF. It's damage is absolutely insane, and the DoT and tracking is just a bonus. I…
Dude...why did you not tell me that earlier? I just went into a PvP match (figured out that you should be at the -9 level of your bracket to expect to do well), did what you said where you charge up DF early and not worry if you don't get it off, and when I did get it off...holy ****. I went 23/4/19 - I didn't use Dazed…
I'm currently level 38, is there any way I can still go into the Scoundrel tree from this level? I know I've messed up my powers and feats, but until I get a respec token I have to try and make do.
I think the main downfall for a Rogue is actually its team. If you have a shocking team composition (generally with no Clerics), you're not going to have too great of a time. If your team never seems to be 'there' when they need to be, and the enemy team is, things are also not going to look too good. I've had many a time…
That's the same story with DF too. The first two attacks are quto's, and as you said, any good player will NOT let stand still to let you get them attacks off, nor' will they let you get that third one off. The maximum you might get before people try to run and your DF gets stopped is 1 auto. Sly Flourish can have at least…
I wish we could do a poll for all TR's about what they prefer, Sly Flourish or Duelists Flurry. I know people who prefer DF cos' of the off chance that you get it off, and deal lots of damage, but others, like me (and I'm guessing the OP) prefer Sly Flourish because of its consistency and speed. In my opinion, and it is by…
As a personal preference, I think Sly Flourish is way better than Duelists Flurry in all honesty. I've been playing PvP non stop today and generally, as soon as you try to do your damage on someone, they will jump away, which completely negates the DF. Where you can get the first 2 attacks of DF off, you can get like 4 Sly…
Upon trying the 'jumping' mechanic trick on my Halfling Trickster Rogue, I can conclude that I'm either not very good at it, or it isn't AS effective on the smaller races. Because your character is bigger, it seems as though you jumps higher therefore has more time to do things in the air, whereas my character doesn't. I'm…
I went onto your stream but it says you're offline unfortunately. I was hoping to maybe have a conversation with you in real time about some of the stuff we've mentioned, and maybe sneak a peak at this 'jumping' mechanic you've mentioned. I want to get in the habit of that ASAP as it sounds to me like it would enhance my…
Right, that makes more sense. When I was PvP'ing with Sly, I was using Deft Strike into an immediate stealth and beating on people with my sly flourish, and when they jumped away (generally immediately) I would go after them with my roll and keep getting a few attacks in until my Deft Strike/Lashing Blade came back up. In…
The decision to use Duelists Flurry over the standard Auto Attack that is Sly Flourish confuses me a little. Could anyone maybe clear up why exactly you would use Duelists Flurry considering the amount of time it takes to actually get any damage off from it? Against many people, as soon as they see themselves getting…
